I was sent this roller by a company called iconicwalls.co.uk
They sent me it for free to try out.
I must say I was converted straight away and will be using these from now on.
They are quicker than a brush and more accurate.
The roller is by Painto and can be found on iconicwalls website.
It's the future and not at all a DIY gimmick.
This is the way to go for professional decorators.

Hi Daniel, always enjoy your videos.👍 Just went on their website to check the price for the painto. It's £14.50. The only problem they want £10.50 to deliver.😮😮😮😮😂😂😂😂😂 If they want to get their foot in on the decorating side in England, then they need to sort their delivery prices out.

i came here after seeing the title for a laugh as being a painter with 38yrs exp we always laugh at these mickey mouse gadgets, BUT it works 😂, i did see this previously on another vid & what i like is the continuous roller finish as opposed to brush marks , I'd be more impressed if it was a very dark colour against the ceiling white but il try it mate, sold 👍

Mate I've used it on a few jobs now and it saves me so much time it's a game changer. Leaves a nice sharp line just below the plasterers line. Just touch in the corners and away you go. I've noticed that iconicwalls.co.uk now sell the roller refills and the pink plastic bit containing the brushes

@@danielnugentpainteranddeco557 i bought from there set up account upon seing your vid, 👍 i have always used mini rollers for corners not just speed & easier but as i mentioned continuous roller finish, i use the Axus heavy pile holds loads i can do both corners on one load, you run it off & it's not too heavy a finish orange peel etc, can always dilute to reduce the heavy finish too but never need to, if im mist coating all white you get 100% roller finish & i just cut in different colour to ceiling with brush, if this works with deep colours im very impressed, i was once thinking of paint pens etc as the point finds the line perfectly & is on rails so to speak & was looking at producing with Dulux or whoever, but i never pursued it, it would of just give that perfect line & few mil needed to make cutting in up to so much easier

@@danielnugentpainteranddeco557 My recent gamechanger was for going over old oil paint with Leyland Acrylic primer/undercoat , 5L around £35 i follow with the Leyland Hardwearing Eggshell 2 coats again cheap around £40 5L 10L £60 10× tougher than standard paint, scrubbable, low odour stays pure white, the finish & whiteness is like brand new PVC, just like silk as you know is so much whiter than matt but this can be used on wood too, also did the scratch test with the P/Undercoat & it was fine , cheaper than Zinseer 👍

I've served 38 now but i only use tape against carpet when doing skirtings to stop picking up fluff etc, if you rely on tape you never learn to cut in, these rollers are good but what i found was it leaves a fine line just a couple of mil below which resembles a minimal mastic finish ? if you know what i mean

Thanks for the swift response Daniel. I've ordered the one you used in the video but look forward to seeing your follow up video. I've used edging tools in the past with varying degrees of success. this seems better than anything I've used before. Some of the other cutting in tools are needlessly complicated or difficult to clean or if you get any paint under the guiding edge, it doesn't end well. Also, with this tool, it looks as though any paint that gets under the edge can be cleaned off "on the go". Your obvious surprise and enthusiasm sold it to me. Happy painting!!@@danielnugentpainteranddeco557

Brought one of these after watching this video to give it a try out of curiosity. To be honest they are absolutely trash and i would not recommend for any professional tradesman. The margin is way too big and can be seen from across the room. Also the brushes on the side leave horrible brush strokes as they are too small and too stiff. the plastic also scratches the ar2 ceiling paint a little. Might be ok for diy but definitely not a professional decorator.
