That's a fabulous idea! Because it's a bit more difficult to get the back straight, especially if you have shorter hair that you can't quite bring to the front to see what you are cutting! 🤔 X

@Xessa82
@Xessa82 10 ай бұрын
@@ilkasanchez6896Having a best friend won't "fix" mental health and neither does religion/faith so please stop. This kind of thinking is highly dangerous since it causes people to feel shame when their mental health is still poor despite being religious or having faith. They will often avoid getting help from professionals out of fear of being judged or because they think that if they just focus more on their faith, things will get better. They often feel shame because they assume they must not be doing the right things so god is punishing them. It doesn't matter how much they go too church or pray, things are not going to get better because mental health disorders have nothing to do with faith. They are very real problems with in the brain that many people, including myself, suffer with. It most often requires treatment with medication, sometimes multiple medications and therapies. People lose their battle with mental heath every single day because they're to afraid that people like you will judge them if they admit that they are suffering. They already have to struggle with the stigma that surrounds mental health so shoving religion/faith down their throat and acting like its the fix all will only make them feel worse/more isolated. The only people that make comments like yours are people that have never struggled with mental health problems. You all are the last people that should be giving us advice.

Hey brad, I’d like to see you give a tutorial like this but while you’re wearing a wig and cutting it from your head. These mannequin tutorials are helpful but I think some extra advice from the perspective of hair on your head would be that much more helpful 😅 or maybe just a “following my own tutorials” challenge 😝

@nicholem4831

@@Mari.K12 so then the solution for that would be to go ahead and section it out prior to putting it on his head. I very much agree with the others. His tutorials are excellent, but because I’m not a stylist- things don’t always translate from him doing it to the mannequin to me doing it on my own head. It’s so much easier to mimic hand position when its demonstrated as you’d be doing it. Also, when Brad is cutting on a mannequin, he doesn’t have the same mindset as if he were doing it to a wig that’s on his own head. The “issue” with that, if you will, is that he’s unable to share those “in the moment” type of helpful tips/tricks that pop up as he’s cutting, because he’s just not experiencing it in the same way. If he were wearing the wig, he’d be far more likely to encounter the things that he’s apt to recognize as potentially difficult for the untrained person who’s at home attempting this cut on themselves.

Brad, I am 73 and have been doing colorful colors on my white hair for some time now. As a matter a fact, in my senior year of high school my hair was green. My senior year book is in black and white (I am 73, remember) but the photographer laughed when he saw my hair and stated I was definitely one of a kind. Now, in my senior years by age, I still color my hair ( been white for over 30 years) and since I do not bleach my hair, it is not damaged. Medicine has made it somewhat curly, and as of 3 weeks ago, it is pink and hot green! I would love to try your color but money-wise, I could not afford it so I am going with my old faithful of Adore semi color and mix with white conditioner which tames it some. I prefer the cotton candy pink with the hot green. I love your videos and learn something each time. Keep it up! Love you bunches!!

I started going gray at 16. At 37, it's about 60% gray. Information seems hard to come by with that. My hair is med brown, and I don't want to go blonde or dye it brown to hide the gray. I'm not ashamed of it - I actually think it's pretty. Sometimes it actually looks like Christmas tree tinsel (which I think is darn cool). I do think I need to switch up my shampoo/conditioner again and start using purple shampoo once a month or so to keep it bright. Do the colors all of you use come off on your pillow? If lighter colors actually stick.. that would be cool to do! It'd be naturally foiled.

Perfect timing. I was getting ready to cut my long, 2b/2c fine, thin hair to my shoulders because my curl was looking rubbish. Decided to do this instead, give it a go if I was going to chop a heap off anyway. I kept the shortest layer about where the tip of my nose is. It looks so good! My curl is much better, my fine and thin hair looks fuller when up in a ponytail and it looks more voluminous when left out. Had so many compliments the next day!

I just did this on my curly hair and it came out so beautiful! I was doing the wolf cut for so long but I realized it wasn't giving me any layers only cutting the front of my hair. I tried this and it's not perfect but looks so much better than before! I will continue to use this video

Thank you SO MUCH! I've been cutting my own hair for about 10 years and have been experimenting with more layering lately, and this is exactly what I needed! I definitely want to go to a salon for a color treatment this summer, though. Uber virgin hair and have always wanted SOMETHING.

Tha k you so much for making this video! Since summer has hit, I realized very quickly I needed to take a LOT of hair off but keep the length. I've always had layers done in a salon but this video was just what I needed (and the first that popped up tonight) My arms now feel like jello noodles and I hit the ceiling and light in our basement one to many times 😂 but I now have some amazing summer hair that still has length, took off some junk hair, and feel super accomplished! This was definitely no easy feat for me as my hair is so incredibly thick, fine, and wavy. I also have a large undercut but I worked around it and am so happy. Thank you Brad Mondo!

I really love it, it's fun for the summer and although Im sure it would have been better to get it cut by a professional, I really like how it turned out :) your demonstration was very easy to follow and enjoyable to watch and I felt guided throughout the whole process thank you!

I was cutting off a ton of hair with the first few cuts and got nervous it was going to look awful...but it really does come together and blend nicely! I really appreciate this detailed tutorial because I was getting tired of the tutorials that tell you to put your hair up in a ponytail and blindly cut across. Will save this for future haircuts!

Rich men created a world where women are able to do all this crap while poor men have to cut their hair off like literal concentration camp inmates or disease victims, just so they can perform whichever Slave Labour job they're required to do to keep rich men rich. I guess it's true, males literally are plantation slaves on a Gov monopolized plantation. All Hail le Supreme virtue of The Managed Plantation Slave Economy.

Omg 10/10 on the video!! I went to go get layers at a hair salon and I showed her photos of long hair but the lady told me my hair was too short for the style and it wouldn't look the same. I told her it was ok I know it wouldn't look exactly the same so she accepted but all she did was take off like 4 inches of my hair! (I didn't even want my hair trimmed) then she told me that I would have to come back when my hair was grown out so I could get the hairstyle I wanted (btw it cost about $50). I get home and I sleep on it for a day and look in the mirror to check out the back and she did no layers what so ever so I waited another day contemplating if I should just cut my own hair (I've done it before so I had some faith in myself) and finally I decided why not go back to my middle school phase and watch brad mondo and god bless he had a video for layers at home. I followed almost exactly what he said (couldn't get perfectly straight lines when parting) and now I have my desired look it's so pretty and I'm really happy with it thank you so much!!

@SwedishTourist

To be fail safe... Before you start I think it's a good idea to make a control: Lift up a whole section (like Brad does at 8:39, but ofc cut it yet). Imagine where you'd have to make your cut in order to get the strands to an even length. Without letting the hair go, witch your fingers, pinch the strands that'll lose the length. Pinch where you'd have to make the cut. Keep pinching, bring the rest of the hair down. Now, where you're pinching your hair, that's how short the shortest strands will be. There is another Brad Mondo video "Hairdressers guide to cutting your own hair and not ruining it" from 2020 that you can also follow, which makes you choose your lengt before cutting layers.

I tried this on my hair which already had layers, They were just too long and didn't flow nicely together anymore. At first I was like omg I hope I don't ruin my hair, but I continued and at the end my hair looked so much better; not flat or weighed down. Looks good straightened and with my natural waves
