I like that video. I'd like to see longer say 30 min. videos on how you do this build. I'm a 65 year old disabled vet, who use to do this type stuff on my vehicles. I miss it and enjoy watching others do it now.

I would use panel bond not plug welds around the windshield for the nose. It’s very strong and you will not get rust.
