Another awesomely helpful technique tutorial, what a simple way to create such beautiful bangs! I must admit that it disappointed me to hear you say that this drastic type of bangs was only for "young girls". Baby bangs are for anyone who can rock 'em, age isn't a factor.

I think he just meant young girls are really going for it right now! I’m sure he didn’t mean to exclude other age groups. Older women can totally rock them ofc!

i've been cutting my own bangs for probably more than 10 years now, on an average of once a month. Sometimes they came out great, sometimes ok, and sometimes terrible - i have researched and tried lots of different techniques, but none of them gave me consistent results. I tried the one in this video and the result is EXCELLENT! i haven't had my bangs looking so good in soooo long! and i feel that this is a very reproduceable technique, so i am confident that next time i apply it, i will get the same great result. thank you so much, this is awesome!!!

Is there a reason for using water (chlorinated?) over wetting the hair down with a leave-in conditioner?
@bearitraeb5 жыл бұрын
Sherry Miller conditioner is heavier
@emilygilbeyful5 жыл бұрын
? Why would anyone damp down with conditioner?
@sherrymiller35275 жыл бұрын
Emily Gilbey Three reasons off the top of my head.. 1) It allows your shears to slide thru the hair easier than just water. 2) Chlorinated water can lift hair color but a light mist of leave-in spray conditioner will not, also protects it from heat. 3) To weigh down wavy, frizzy, or fly away hair just enough so it stays smooth...it’s best to equal the porosity level when working with hair for a polished finish. I’m a seasoned (30 plus years in the hair business) hair colorist, licensed professional educator, & salon owner (23 plus years) ...color & corrective work is my specialty. There is a method to my madness...if he chose water perhaps he had a reason too. That’s why I asked..You can always learn, if you want to be a great artist be humble, no one ever arrives however WE are who the world looks to for professional work.
@emilygilbeyful5 жыл бұрын
@@sherrymiller3527 the point of conditioner spray is to detangle and even porosity. Even specific cutting spray isn't to damp down. If you want to cut hair wet, then you shampoo, but often the fringe is cut last. Most stylists all over the world would use a water spray! I get your point about chlorinated water but you can use spring water in a spray bottle. If you blow dry after spraying lots of leave in conditioner particularly on fringe it will be heavy and separate and will affect the weight and natural fall defeating the objective of the natural falling cut.
@sherrymiller35275 жыл бұрын
Emily Gilbey I always shampoo first & never just “wet down with water” (you can read Modern Salon there is a great article written by the owner of Malibu treatments) however, if the hair dries out before cutting the fringe area, I always use a 4-1 or conditioning spray to re-wet/dampen as I cut. I would disagree with you based on my experience & educational wisdom. I’ve never had that issue that you mentioned and I cut hair in the 90’s. Lol. Here in NY I’m doing just fine...To each their own. PS I’ve taught all over the world, you’d be surprised how many stylist’s prefer product over just water when given the option.
