I know this is a 2011 video, but its now 2016. I watched a 2016 professional stylist video last night that used the exact same razor comb!!! It's different on each side. One side has a finer razor side and the other was wider, you change the blades as needed and that's it. I want to get that razor comb!!! I'm not exactly sure but what I'm thinking is that after you get your hair cut, it reacts best to treatments. After I get a cut/trim, I always use a hair mask on it. It makes my hair feel awesome and soft and I personally think it works best after a cut. So when you cut your hair then dye it, all the damage from the dye is going to damage your hair even more then it already would. Hope this was helpful :) -Bree

Hi, this was a really helpful video. Trimming my hair myself is going to save me a couple of bucks. Your hair is beautiful. Do you use any shampoo/conditioner in particular to keep it like that? Or any other prodcucts to keep it that healthy? Or is the trimming constantly what helps the most?

If anyones wondering, you could also use a disposable razor and just make sure to comb ur hair before u cut it with the razor :) it works pretty well!

I believe it's just called Side Swept Bangs, which means that the bangs is cut diagonally from one side to the other side. You have to tell the salon the length you want the shortest part to reach because the salons I went before assume the part I want to reach is the longest part and I end up with the dorkiest bangs with the shortest part very high up my forehead.

using a razor does make your hair more suspectible to split ends, but it really depends on the person. my hairstylist always uses a razor on all of my hair, but i'm lucky in that i don't get split ends. i get my hair cut an average of once per year and i have found maybe 2 individual split hairs during my lifetime :)
