If you want to cut your bangs at home it is easy to do. For those of you who are getting bangs newly, but are not sure how much to take off or where, you can have your hairdresser discuss that with you, and what looks best for your hair type and density.

I'm glad I found your channel! I am so tired of paying people, who don't listen to what I ask for, to cut my hair for me. I have straight, straight hair and I cannot count how many times I have left the beauty salon only to discover my hair is cut crooked! Or I ask for short bangs but they leave me with bangs that are in my eyes! I am going to try some of your suggestions!

As a general rule in hair school you don't cut further back than 3 fingers from the front hairline. You part a triangle shape and use the peak of each eyebrow for the left and right. side of the triangle. Nice video for those brave souls who want to cut their hair at home, though. You can even cut small v's into the bang (called point cutting) along the cut edge if you don't want a solid heavy line. Again, just a suggestion.
