I tried this method! Came out amazing 👍 I did another pass on my front section with bangs again separately, this blended everything to my satisfaction. This saved me ! I had definitely messed up my bangs & layers doing it myself. The method you show helped me understand how to have what I was trying to achieve. The point cutting gave me the wispy blended look I was trying to get . Thank you ,I with use variations of this forever! Awesome , simple, and fun . You rock

I just wanted to say ever since I found this video, I've been cutting my hair like this. I never get the ponytail right because my hair is too thick, so I always end up with a lot of bumps, but then I trim it and fix it. Not having to go to the salon is such freedom. Thank you for the video :)

Love this! Thank you so much! It is actually the second time I am following your tutorial - both times working well. I too have a wavy hair and you are right - sometimes even professional do not take it into account (I once ended up with bangs that "jumped up" when they dried, and once with my hair thinned up mostly on the top where it looked like a ball). But with your tutorial I managed to give myself pretty decent layers and cut off my split ends.

Thanks for detailed explanations on where to tie ponytail and effect that it gives. You showed us that with this technique if you don’t like outcome you can always ajust the cut to your convenience. That is pretty awsome and yeah I cut my hair for Years now and every 5 years I go to a salon and they manage every time to screw my hair after I have to wait one or two years to grow it back. I will never give them a penny … no more it’s over !

After you do your one ponytail.....separate it into 4 small ponytails.....easier to cut especially with thick hair like yours. That's wat I do

It is lovely and you demonstrate very well but you would get a much better result if you used hairdressing scissors ✂️ Kitchen or office scissors are just too dull. Cutting point into ends would be so much better.

No, you don’t have to cut up the layers. You are right- I do it because I like my ends to look thinner. You can skip that if you want a thicker look.

Assuming it would work, but you’d have to be careful not to cut too much off, since your curls would bounce up.
