I'm down almost 30 lbs, and it hasn't really been that hard. Before I discovered Dr. Mindy, I used to think that fasting was a bad word. After watching her videos, I decided to give intermittent fasting a shot. I feel better, and I have a lot more energy. I'm 55, and this is my lifestyle now.

I customized my own program. I’m in Phase 2 and now I’m on Day 4 of a prolonged fast. Last Thursday, my doctor officially dropped insulin from my medications. I’ve lost a total of 28 pounds. Blood pressure has dropped from 191/103 to 144/88. Today’s fasting blood glucose was 73. How long I’ll prolong the current fast is checking how I feel day to day. My goal is to completely cure my Type 2 Diabetes. I want to thank Dr. Mindy as her videos have helped me craft my program to best serve me.

My husband and I have done four 60 hour fasts. Tomorrow we plan to start on a 72 hour fast, eat keto and high protein for five days and do another 72 hour fast. I’ve got another 50 lbs to lose. In July we’ll try this again. I feel so much better getting all the sugar out of my system. Also, we’ve both had a full blood panel and everything came back perfect. There is no high blood pressure, or high cholesterol in either of us. Our ages are 63 and 68.

2 years ago, I did a 2 weeks water fast. I live in the allergy capital of the world and used to suffer from terrible allergies, especially in the falls and springs, so I figured I needed to do something drastic. The first 2 days were hard, but after that, I did not even feel hungry. I continued with my daily weightlifting regiments and did not have to lift lighter until after 10 days of fasting. I’m an engineer and my performance at work did not suffer at all from the lack of nutrients. I could have gone longer with my water fast, but I didn’t want to lose too much the muscle mass that I’ve worked so hard to build up over the years. I lost almost 30lbs and had completely cured my allergy problems. My body fat percentage went from 18% down to 10%. To give my immune system a boost, I do a 3 days water fast every 3 months. During my fast, I drank 1 gallon distilled water mixed with Himalayan salt and 3 8oz bottles of Perrier daily for minerals.

I have been struggling with the subject of fasting for 30 years as a Christian. The things I have experienced and learned over the years have given me a perspective that makes me desire the benefits of fasting; especially the mental clarity I have heard so much about. I am doing One Meal A Day at 12:00 noon, and I can eat until 1 pm (my meal window). I have found it to be a massively surprising blessing; not difficult at all. I'm lovin' it!

Oh my goodness. Here I am trying to educate myself on how to fast so I can be healthier for my 3 boys ( 9,11,13). And I noticed how well explained your videos are. How you acknowledge EVERYONE is different and that we have many options to choose from to be healthy. I loved the fact that you didn't look down upon someone for participating in an engagement with friends and therefore breaking their fast for that. Thank you for that!! Thank you for not demonizing a human being for wanting to eat and enjoy her time with her friends from out of town. But, all of a sudden you said " please don't ever give up on yourself" wow! The tears started rolling down my cheeks. Because I almost did. After gaining 40lbs for what seemed no reason, I thought I didn't have an option to heal myself since I didn't know how I gained so much weight. Thank you, Dr. Mindy, for realizing we are humans. Thank you for your empathy and your guidance.

What did Jesus, Mozes and Pythagorus, to name just a few, achieve with a 40 days fast that they could not achieve in 5 days? I am assuming that it took some 40 days for their hunger to return, thus signalling the end of the fast. Could it be that most of the physical benefits are achieved up front, and the spiritual benefits require much longer fasts? Refreshing to see more information about planning and timing in fasting. Keep up this good work.

Poet Victoria Hunter how long did you fast to cure ur fibroids??? My wife experiences major pain during her menstrual cycle from the fibroids. Appreciate any advice
@ladybird4915 жыл бұрын
@@chrisesposito6272 I fasted for like 3 months and it wasn't hard because I did 14 hours sometime and sometime drank nothing until I was ready to have my first meal. Please try to encourage her to do the blood type diet. Eating off your blood type diet can make you eat too much estrogen cause you crave fruits from addiction to sweet taste and then that makes fibriods grow bigger. When you do blood type diet you get a healthy balance of all food group so you basically don't have the problems with sweet cravings. Blood type diet eating fix insulin problems. See if you have insulin problems you will eat more things that are sweets and often sweet things are higher in estrogen and then the fibriods grow bigger. Fasting and drinking acv in water like twice in the morning will fix her insulin which will then lead to her fibriods shrinking. My fibriods are like little peas now and I suspect two are gone. I don't feel them at all anymore and totally pain free. If you can get her to do a one day dry fast once a month, it will really shrink them and it is super good for deep cleaning of the vagina. 😊 Start making her plates with food for her blood type. Have a small portion of each food group on each plate and that includes protein. I choose to eat more leafy veggies and higher protein and fat. I have a small portion of fruit on my first meal which is never before 11 am. All the food is on my blood type and I feel amazing and my belly is vanishing super fast now.

I was also able to control my glaucoma but unfortunately I lost most of vision. I do OMAD, with a 20 to 22 hrs fasting I tried 12 days water fasting, and try to do 72 hrs fasting once a month. My question is why I can’t sleep longer than3 hours…when I do the long fasting. I also get very constipated . But the biggest issue is insomnia . I also interested in getting the autopagy chart. Thank you Dr Mindy you are amazing. I’ve learned so 12:10 much…I’m 58 year old and I’m feeling younger every day.🤓

Dr. Mindy, I really appreciate all the informational videos you are putting out. I am a senior citizen and I am trying to overcome my insulin resistant and high BP. I just started fasting and really like to get a copy of your fasting benefit chart. I have done 2 days fasting but would like to extend to a 5 days fasting.

Intermittent fasting has been my lifestyle for the past ten years. But I'm experiencing some perimenapause challenges. So I started 36 hours fast yesterday. I have great hopes.

Dr Mindy I am working my way up to the autoimmune fasting plan. But I am just starting so I’ve been at 16hs fasting for the past 2 weeks. I tried to move to 18 for a few days but it didn’t go well, I felt worse. So I am going slow but when I am ready I will try the autoimmue fasting plan !
