You're welcome, and thanks for the comment! I think I sorta decided to do these with my laptop until it became apparent that switching up with a good webcam would be worth it. My next vid may still be this quality, but the ones after that should be better.

Thanks for the suggestion -- I'm always interested in suggestions. I've never owned orbits but have played around with them a few times and have seen them around for a long time. So as a person w/out that much experience, I probably couldn't run a show on em... I really do like the idea of doing an episode on props / object manipulation, though. Maybe a super brief overview of the some of the common things: orbits, gloves, LEDS, glowsticks, poi, hoops, etc...

Yeah, 'dad' aka 'yejoon' was really formative in my understanding of folds and some other liquid mechanics (finger rolls especially). Glad you're enjoying the videos! Lemme know if you have any questions.

Thanks for expanding on this. A liquid dancer called"DAD" touched on this and I always wished he'd made a longer video or would expand on it. He didn't. And until now I couldn't find anyone else who did.

if looking for the next tip? Orbits would be nice to see and hear thoughts on them

I just think it ties in with the figure 8, the fix point and "energy ball"

Once You get each down you can practice transitioning between waves, eights/Ss/Zs and whatever shape rails at different points. You will get tied up trying to take some paths you think might work and organically find new combos as you dance. You can also guide folds/waves down and up the body/leg/arm with the hand ;)

Al, my question is on continuous flow, meaning going from one thing to another without stopping. I know a whole "catolog of different movement patterns" but cannot seem to get them to flow and connect spontaneously and seamlessly in real time. Hope this makes sense, and that you'll address it at some point.

Awesome videos, but I'd enjoy them even more if they were better quality.

Hey Elgin -- Yep, this very much makes sense, and I've heard other people talk about this challenge. Based on a recent clip (kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3POhHSloaqanqc), it looks like the majority of your transitions are quite seamless! Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like they feel seamless to you, which I bet is a creative challenge. Hrm... perhaps try practicing specific transitions -- maybe the 8 to rails to 8 to rails etc., then another pair? The more I think about it the more I want to do a vid on it...
