I just joined the BM3 community this week and so far am thoroughly impressed with everything. The quality of the app, the tunes, the ease of flashing, the hardware. And these high quality KZbin videos really make setting everything up dummy proof. I do have extensive mechanical knowledge and expertise but know almost nothing about this custom tuning side of it. Awesome video and overview of the logging features. I really love how smooth and butter like the performance is while reviewing the logs. Previously this was a pain on the mobile but better on desktop. With the new app it’s actually better for me on the phone than desktop haha. Not sure you covered the pinch and zoom if you want to narrow down the graph to a specific moment where you wanted to analyze values whilst horizontally scrolling. I would love to change orientation to landscape the phone whilst dashboard is enabled. It would give some the flexibility how i have mounted the phone.

Would be really cool if the team can develop a tweak option where you can change the boost in relation to rpm (without entering the map editor) just like boost per torque! :)

What do you recommend for datalog settings for track driving (not drag)? I am thinking 70% and a 10 second Duration After Pedal Lift might be best. If I run a 20 min session, do you think that would give me a 20 minute datalog?

@@protuningfreaks that didn’t work last weekend at the track. I wanted to record at least one lap but it only gave me a few seconds. I started it after a few laps but I believe 3 seconds isn’t long enough because at the end of a high speed straight with a high speed corner it must have shut off because I didn’t go over 70% within 3 second. I’ll give 10 seconds a try in about a month.

If i want to make a change to my OTS e50 map lets say turn the max limter off do i need to reflash the tune or just change the setting thanks.

Max limiter is to allow to reduce boost substantially from stock, not raise or disable it. Say if you want to make a quick valet map out of OTS, custom or even stock tune that runs 2psi.

Any time you change any config setting, you need to reflash.

Is there an option to have the car yell at me and show the caution triangle or CEL on the instrument cluster if X value of knock is detected or for other settings? This would be a quick way for me to know I need to let out if there was an issue during a pull.

Enet cable is only to be used with laptops, mac or windows. On mobile its best to use the bm3 wifi adapter

for the boost gauge what config do i use to show boost like an external boost gauge? when im in dashboard at idle it displays 14 not 0, car is a 20 f36 440i

hey. im trying to do a data log. in diagnostic mode (engine off) all sensors in dashboard is running. ( i look at the accel pedal gauge). then, when i turn on the car, everything freezes. and i cant even data log. i tried double tapping the screen. it says data loging. and when i see the csv file, it says the duration of the log is just less than 1 second 😭. pls help me!
