I like how he talks in this video. Like human to human. I don’t like how he talks like teacher to student on a lot of other videos. You should do more videos like this one. Amazing.

Going through your videos in no particular order, just whatever speaks to me at the moment. Gotta say, I'm thankful you're out there putting out straight content and not just feeding into the emasculation mentality of this goofy world. Good on you for sharing something that must have been, at one point, so centrally private, but have since learned how to have a healthy outlook on it. Sometimes you can't change your circumstances, but you can ALWAYS change your reaction. Peace.

Answer : Do stuff and get skills over time that give you a real sense of confidence. Avoid befriending people who lower your self esteem or has drinking habits

Great video, man. My 79 year old father had a similar situation. Burns in the same area from a pot of boiling water and a stuttering problem. He used basketball to build his confidence. He was so good that he walked on to the UCLA basketball team and played for Johnny Wooden in the early 1960's. He played basketball until he was 75. Thanks for sharing.

Been watching your videos for a while now, I never thought that you had a stutter. I myself have a stutter, and as you said, facing and accepting yourself for who you are, and changing your perceptions about your insecurities really helps. I still stutter, but not half as bad as I used to, going out there and facing your fears is the only thing that works for people with insecurities no matter what they are. You're setting a great example for lots of people out there, thank you for that!

This is why I watch you Rich. You’re the same way I am. Someone who faces their issues head on and learned that crying and complaining does nothing but keep you down. You understand just like I do that this shit is never easy but you didn’t run away from it. You did something about it. Regardless of what people said, regardless of how they looked at you, regardless of all the pain they made you feel you came out on top and said f you to everyone and became what you always wanted to be. A strong confident individual. I respect that. I’m glad I found your content, don’t know if you’ll see this because your video is pretty old but that’s awesome. A lot of your content about women has helped me out tremendously lately. I’ve been becoming the best version of myself and I definitely have to give you credit where it’s due. You definitely got me back on the right path.

I was raised without a father, late bloomer because I was born with and entire side of my body being under developed. A lot of emotional neglect and bad decisions on my mother's part really damaged my mental health. But I'm managing. Trying to teach myself the things I should've learned growing up. I didnt have a handle on expressing my thoughts till a few years ago. I'm 23 now and it's difficult, but hard work will eventually pay off

I have a broken Arm and felt insecure even today. Most of my life people put me down, telling me I can't do things. They say I can't ride motor cycle and I rode motorcycle. They say you can't play basketball and I compete on a basketball team. They say you can't do electrical and now I have my own company. However, the stigma is still there. I still try to prove to there world that I can do anything. Thanks for the uplifting video. Make me realized why I'm doing all this.

If people are actually in your life telling you that you’re not good enough to do certain things....at minimum ignore them. That is their own insecurities talking. They’re trying to keep you down on their level. When you start succeeding...it makes them feel threatened. If at all possible, confront them. Let them know that you’re tired of the negativity. If that doesn’t help....consider getting away from them all together. It’s going to be hard to really break free from the insecurities when the people around you are always putting you down. You’d be much better off spending time with people who find you interesting and find your accomplishments interesting

Yeah, it's funny. I have more than a few and was sensitive about them when I was younger. Now? Scars are proof that you've done shit. I counted 18 on my left hand one time. This is because I'm a carpenter and hold everything with my left, and work on it with my right. So I started teaching myself to be ambidextrous, to give my left a break lol. Same as scars on my face from fighting. "how'd you get those scars"? Got into a scrap or two, never started them but sure did finish them!

Don't know if this will help + it has been one month since you wrote this but here goes: View your scarring simply as BATTLE SCARS... I have some stretch marks on the sides of my stomach and felt rather insecure about them when I was younger. If you haven't already, check out Elliot Hulse here on YT. He also talks a great deal about Becoming the Strongest Version of Yourself! Keep seeking knowledge from those who know more than you do, find some form of exercise that you enjoy. If you don't feel that lifting heavy junk is your thing, then do something else that suits you.

“There is no single disease which causes more psychic trauma, more maladjustment between parents and children, more general insecurity and feelings of inferiority and greater sums of psychic suffering than does acne vulgaris.” -Sulzberger & Zaldems, 1948. When I stumbled across that quote in a newspaper before the internet, it was like a beacon of light to know someone out there knows how I feel. Not to discount your scars & story, but I'd rather have burns than cystic acne in the prime of my teens and twenties. I'd just make up a story to my friends that the burn scars were from you trying to save your friend from a burning building or whatever. Then you play it off as a cool macho thing. Acne is just a reoccurring nightmare of random & uncontrollable disgusting blemishes that are located in the most important area of skin that you will ever present to the world. Acutane does work, but not without a lot of trial & error beforehand. Meanwhile say goodbye to your dating & single life b/c it's hermit life while you wait inside your house for the blemishes to heal using anything & everything you can buy of which none of it really helps. Oh that burning regret of living in my own prison for years & years, not on my worst enemy.

Dude this is so True i almost feel like you read my mind. I'm 33 and still dealing with this thing since i was 11. I'm talking about huge pimples all over my back, chest, legs, ass, and face of course (althought at least it's not that bad on my face anymore). Even now i sometimes have to put a bandaid somewhere on my back because i accidentally pop one of those things during a shower maybe, otherwise i'd leave some small blood stain on my shirt. I always felt like i was some kind of disgusting freak. I still do to a degree. I used to always try to hide it by never showing my upper body because i was so ashamed of this. And nothing any dermatologist gave me ever worked. At some point i thought that i Can't go on with all this shame, so i started to not give a fuck about it anymore. I take off my shirt without a problem nowadays, even though i stll feel a little like a freak. But if i'd listen to this feeling i'd go crazy and would never do things i really enjoy, like going to the beach in summer or going to the gym

I had a really bad lisp and it took hours and hours and hours of therapy to get over it. It worked though. I think a lot of guy's insecurities stem from parenting. If your parent instills in you a sense of ability as opposed to criticizing, then you will be more confident. Same as encouragement and praise for accomplishments as opposed to praise for just showing up (like what happens these days with participation ribbons). It also doesn't help to have an older sibling that pounds on you constantly.....mine did and when I "grew up" and started being able to fight back, that's when things started to change with me. I use this joke as a good rule in life: An old bull and a young bull are standing on a hill over looking a herd of cows. The young bull says: why don't we run down there and fuck one of them cows? The old bull says: why don't we WALK down there and fuck them all? The moral is: you don't have to run into a room and dominate it drawing attention to yourself to be confident. It comes from within...some of the most able and confident people I have ever met are the ones who sneak up on you so to speak. They're not the ones who shout, they're the ones who whisper. I've known a TON of guys who outwardly, were the big strong he man lady killers. Women flocked to them. But underneath they were insecure little boys who needed that attention to support their self image. Another good one? Cocky is telling people how great you are, Confidence is showing them.

Here's another good one: do things you've never done before. When you succeed, or even if you fail, learn from it. I was playing one of those couples games at a party and the question was: what one item would you take with you to a desert island? I said "my leatherman wave" MY gf pointed at me and said "him" Why is that? With his leatherman in a week he'd have built a 2 bedroom condo with indoor plumbing lol

Criticism doesn't always come from beneath you. The other parts I can agree with, but this is simply not true. For example... You go to see a trainer in a sport, or a teacher, who is absolutley much better/smarter than you at that thing. If they say you do something wrong, would you say "no, I do fine the way I do just now", and then proceed doing the thing wrong? First, you have to hear the criticism, and THEN decide, where it might have come from. Other than that, I enjoyed the video.

I believe all you have done here is talk about yourself and say "just love yourself". I expected something of more substance.

Love your videos but there's no need to bash Bernie. He's a good man. Hillary is way more politically correct, she panders to identity politics. Bernie just wants to give people healthcare and college. Your videos are spot on though. People have become so pussified and easily offended these days, especially guys.
