knees going over toes is a myth. if it hurts when you squat deep you probably just have tight quads. couch stretch and rolling a barbell or like a 100 lb kettlebell over quads will help take stress off the quadriceps tendon.

That's what I thought, too. I came to Martial Arts from a weightlifting background and every couch in modern weightlifting tells you, that knees over toes is a myth. When you go up a stairway the knees will shift above the toes with every step you take.

@@Philip30011 eh i dont know i would rather trust doctors and physiotherapists if they say it strains the connective tissue

@@Philip30011 I believe it's in their best interest to tell you that, because going knees over toes allows for a more complete range of motion, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt the knee. Now I am no expert but I reccomend you take what you are told with a grain of salt and always ask yourself if they have an ulterior motive for saying so or maybe they just want to believe what they say because believing otherwise would be incovenient. Good day.

ok i need seriuos help. i know the root of my problem and have the solution but doctors somehow dont suggest it: ive been to countless different orthopedists all my life and only recently i convinced one to xray my legs for leg lenght discrepancy (they always got so angry when i talked about leg lenght discrepancy) and the result is: my right leg is 0.8cm shorter + i have slight flatfoot (right) which results in left side of my hip standing 1.2cm higher. they usually suggest heel lifts (but not exactly the size of my leg lenght discrepancy, dont ask me why). i dont like heel lifts because they feel weird AND they dont contribute nothing when you are moving (imagine taking a step with your left foot forward where you stand and your whole foot but on the right foot your heels will be in the air and youll be standing your tip toes where there is no hight adjustment). this contributes to my right groin being strain all the time so even after an 1 hour walk ill be limping. the real problem however is that in the last few years ive started sensing and seeing muscular changes: my longer leg has been carrying most of the weight which led it to being more muscular including a more stable knee and muscular foot with better adhesion. the muscle on the right side feel weak and most certainly observable is the size difference. and when throwing left kicks i feel a worrying straing on my right knee because its not that stable (i think because it had not been carrying my whole weight all these years.) my solution: whole shoe lifts (1cm). and on the mat i would like the following, but the lifts on the whole foot: www.amazon.de/ASOSMOS-Unsichtbare-Steigerung-Einlegesohle-Schmerzen/dp/B07YPRY8QP/ref=asc_df_B07YPRY8QP/?tag=googshopde-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=380209861678&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10022675746745468403&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9062729&hvtargid=pla-829377968608&psc=1&th=1&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=79098335738&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=380209861678&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10022675746745468403&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9062729&hvtargid=pla-829377968608 also recently i have crippling pain in my greater trochanter (left). i dont even want to know whats up with my spine. i can get shoe lifts but not so sure about those silicon lifts when bare footed. i also have chronic trapezius (right) strains because my right shoulder is standing lower due to the leg lenght discrepancy. Please coach give me your thoughts on this, especially on the silicone lift for the whole foot for when im on the mat. how can i get someone to manufacture on of these?

Lol no firas I've never seen a NEWBORN child bend down and pick something up off the floor, but great video thank you...I personally always have elbow and wrist and thumb injuries in my right arm. I grew up playing baseball and pitching hard for long periods of time. After I first messed my elbow up ,the first injury, it felt like getting electricuted suddenly whenever I moved it wrong. So I had to rehabilitate it for like a year oddly to rehabilitate it boxing was great i could still create the power of throwing but it honestly was way better and it hurt less also it gave me a way to strengthen my tendons back and I ended up getting better than ever. Still to this day if I flex that arm you can hear it from across the room though. I've done some research maybe tendinopathy or something but there's not pain often anymore. I guess my question at the end of this book is I'm a long guy who's very skinny but I'm also explosive and pretty powerful so I feel like my body type puts a lot of stress on my tendons an ligaments and such. And that right arm I can no longer straighten my left arm can be perfectly straight.I feel like this throws my whole posture off. It doesnt really effect me badly except maybe lifting weights. What would be the best way to train my tendons strength specifically in my elbow and wrist. Maybe swimming, gymnastics, some form of weightlifting or stretches or something. I know your no doctor but I would appreciate your advice more than just about anyone elses that I could imagine. Also anyone else willing to read this far if anyone did lol.

Bro going knees over toes is the best thing you can do to strengthen your knees and your patella. Youre one of the best mma coaches in the world but you have absolutely no idea what toire talking about, or at least whoever taught you doesnt.

A good thing for the knees and spine is to always sleep with a pillow in between ur knees. Also for the neck only sleep with one pillow under ur head. You sleep 6-8 hours out of 24 hours. That’s a good percentage of time every day
