Yes. They act like they hired a limo service. The other day. i took a Share ride and the primadona asked me to make a u-turn to pull into the garage of her building. The thing is it was a residential street and she would have taken 5 steps to reach the other sidewalk getting out of my car. I felt like saying: "What? You cannot walk 5 steps?" but I didn't, since she would give me a 1-star for nothing.

Bro that’s nothing, I’ve had drug dealers, people who tell me they’ve murder someone and went to prison for it. One guy just got out of county lockup because the voice in his head told him to run out in traffic then the cop showed up and the voice told him to punch the cop. He was in my car for 45 minutes talking crazy 💩. One guy told me to shut up and drive and I didn’t even start the trip. I kicked him out, dude I got stories all day.

Same regarding stories all day LOL! 8yrs of Uber and Lyft, and boy can I write a book. My most memorable was a guy I picked up in front of Harvard Univ. He had a wet poncho on, and stated 5 drivers refused to take him. He said if I didn't take him, he will cry. Then I explained because no one's letting you into their car with that wet poncho. I whined, "So I have to take it off?" Yes, or I'm gone. So he took it off, folded it and put it in the trunk. I explained that you're going to get the driver's seats wet and it will take quite some time to dry out if the seats are cloth. Nonetheless, he preceded to ask me to charge his computer. Wasn't going to happen, so 5mins into the trip he whips out a sub and starts eating. Lord! After I drop him off, he made a mess. I will no longer accept 4.9 or below. But if its a surged ride, I will pull over and ask them to put the food away. Wish I did that this morning for the girl who munched away on her snacks, she made a mess. However, she tipped me and so the tip is the cost of the cleaning fee, so I didn't precede with the report but I gave her 1 star

Yeah, I drove somebody an hour from where I lived to San Diego these two guys, and I didn’t get any tip at all was courteous and nice to them. I don’t know what I did wrong. I don’t know what I said wrong but I didn’t get not one dollar a a waste of gas BMW.

I don’t care if passengers ignore me or talk on their phone. I have no idea what they are going through in their lives and if they need some time or want some time to themselves then I will more than gladly accommodate them. I like to concentrate mostly on driving and providing safe transportation. My passengers seem to appreciate it. And many passengers don’t even speak very much English and that is fine. I think all my over 500 rides have been friendly enough getting in and out of my vehicle. A great skill is reading your passenger and just being chill.

Yeah, some riders ask me is this your car? did you rent this car? It doesn’t look like it’s your car. I said it’s my car. I have this BMW OK I got laid off from my job. I had a good job, but this is my car. I keep it clean, they scratch up your car and everything they throw trash in your car. It’s a lot of disrespect going on around there in the backseat.😮

More than 2 minutes late at peak is my red flag for prima donnas. I used to rate but got 1*s. I now take control by cancelling. I feel so much better now 😁

I just think of my best passengers. If the person is doing one thing though. Ignoring me. I do usually kick them out and declare an emergency. Why? People who are quiet an ignoring you. Not ones who just don’t want to tall, theres a difference. The ones who won’t even answer “is this a good spot?”. If I can ID them early in the ride they are kicked. Reason is that is the passenger who will 1 star you.

Your channel is pretty good but this advice is not cutting it. we alredy know to do this. You can't simply ignore someone who's munching loudly in the back seat and didn't ask. I had a pax this morning who started eating, I didn't say anything because it was awkward, even for an 8yr veteran such as myself. When she got out, she left a mess, I took pictures and was about to report her for a cleaning fee and a tip came through. So I chose not to report her but I unmatched since it was through Lyft and gave her 1 star.

I do every time pull over, put them out, one star them, block them from my car. I'm not putting up with nobody b*******, especially for $7! It's also why I stick to the shorter rides. The least time you have in my car. The least time you have to act like an a******, but you only got one time and you're not getting back in😮

Regarding the food situation, I think what I plan on doing next time is with an uplifting voice, I'm going to say, "If you don't mind, I don't let people eat in the car for safety reasons. In the event that I have to stop suddenly, you could choke. Also, many people make a mess and don't clean up afterwards. So if you could wait until your at your location, that would helpful. As a reminder, everything is being audio and video recorded. If you feel you need to eat, would you like to request another driver or do you want me to continue the ride?"

Easy fix.....find what you will accept per ride, how much per minute or mile if you choose, I go by minute. If you don't get what you want then don't accept the ride, that simple.

If a pax roles down the window when it's freezing outside, the first question I ask is if it's too hot in here? I can turn down the heat. If they still want the windows down, I explain that I can't have the windows down as to not get sick from the cold. If they continue to persist, I'll pull over and requests they find another driver. I'm not going to make myself sick for someone else's crazy behavior to have the windows down! It ain't worth my well being!

Great advice! We are in the service industry and there’s a great old saying that “one can’t please Greek and Trojans”. I like to say that a 5 star driver is not a good driver since he or she is not enforcing the rules of the road such as using the seatbelts on highways here in California. There is a line of rudeness that I won’t allow to be crossed, but as one of the comments pointed out in the rare occasion that you have a deranged passenger is way safer not to escalate, as you pointed out a little diplomacy goes a long way. 😊🚙
