I learned about haters big time about three years ago when someone with about three months of martial arts training, that’s right, three months used to laugh at me when he found out that I had taken three decades of traditional Chinese martial arts. Used to laugh and say it’s useless and he could beat me up anytime. I thought about it and just let it bounce off of me. Kinda coincides with your “the buck stops here”.

@@scaryhenski Chi power? There is no such thing as chi power. Chi is nothing more than using proper breathing to apply power. For example, a master carpenter that hits a nail only once to hammer a nail all the way down is using chi, which is focusing breathing to apply force. A highly trained boxer uses chi, they just use American terminology like "focus your breathing!" That's all it is. I'm not gonna challenge every Tom, Dick, and Harry that wants to heckle me. That would be just stupid.

I'm a practitioner too, and in my experience the haters are simply people who do not believe or understand. I prefer to use their ignorance as a teachable moment in which I can explain or demonstrate the effectiveness of the techniques. It doesn't always work, because some people really do just want to choose to hate, but I would never recommend ignoring someone completely when you are confident in your skills and teaching ability.

One must take care not to make 'binary to binary conflation fallacies'. The strategy for dealing with this is fractal polarisation. That is the realisation that one set of opposites does not equal another, otherwise they would be the same set, but instead to realise that all polarities can be embeded within another based upon the context of application. For example good/evil does not equal freedom/control respectively. Both freedom and control can contain the polarites of good and evil. There are good freedoms and bad freedoms. But freedom itself is not good or bad on its own, it is an abstract relative concept. Likewise there is good control and bad control but control itself is neither good or bad, it all depends on the context of application.

It is not moral and rational to mistake the binary of ignorance/awareness for evil/good respectively. Most often people are not intentionally evil they are simply ignorant, raised in a society/family etc that teaches them false ideas. The solution in this regard is both individual and societal. A person who embraces evil with awareness is not ignorant of what they are doing. It could be argued at a previous level in the self creation of such a person however there was some form of ignorance, delusion etc that led to the choice to embrace evil in full awareness of its nature. Mapping these polarities, their changes, their embedding in one onther is much like the yin-yang separation in chen style tai chi

It is moral and rational to hate evil and love good. But how one expresses this is also another aspect that can be evil or good in itself. Intention and action. What is the difference between acting in the theatrical sense and action? Intention. For me my challenge is in my expression generally where even if I am right about something I may not express this in a respectful manner thus compounding the situation with unneccesary provocation and conflict.
@symbolsarenotreality45953 жыл бұрын
Especialy when I am disgreeing with someone about a fundamental moral issue, then it is most challenging to respect that person. When immorality/ammorality stems from ignorance, respect must be given but when it is intentionally chosen it is foolish to respect someone who wiil not respect in return as they will take any opportunity to use your respect to betray you, even if at some point in time their choice to not be moral was based on delusion/ignorance. When someone becomes a danger to themselves or others it is the responsibility of the community to find a solution. For a person to change however requires total self honesty and the intention to change.
