You guys can modify this list to your liking, but I feel like you guys would have a very interesting take on it after diving into it a bit

"He who feels lonely when alone is in bad company." -Jean Paul Sartre Sinbad,to fix heartbreak you gotta accept that you cant control her.She wasnt yours,it was just your turn. So no matter how much you suffer it wont change a thing. Start suffering for shit that actually matters,that is, yourself. Life only goes in one direction and you gotta keep going as well. Keep your head held high,cause you have every right to.Stay stoic and go get some.Because Greatness is Coming

30:50 Since y’all asked, what helps me go through pain (depression, etc) is to accept suffering and move on. I deal with perfectionist/anxious issues too so I understand what go through. This is in my Christian perspective but what I’m about to say next translates to all religions I think. The best thing I’ve ever done was to accept that God is triumphant man. He already won every war. The beautiful thing about life is that peace and love is infinite and eternal, suffering is finite. Suffering will never win. And when you really believe and understand on that deep level you can manage anything, because we are made in God’s image. We are kings and queens, but when we don’t believe that we forget our own power. Sometimes suffering can feel so unbearable that we think that this is the only thing that exists and it’s more powerful then us (I.e. the devil). But it’s an illusion because we are more powerful then suffering. When we accept our suffering and move on we are saying that yes, I accept suffering because I believe in something greater then this, which is God for me. Basically, accept suffering so it can go away.

I’ve known a few married couples that had their own houses right beside each other- and it worked great! There’s no drama with house expenses or people being messy or whatever and the dating phase just keeps lasting in a way! BUT dude. You can’t be in 24/7 presentation-mode in a real relationship! It’s actually exhilarating to cross over into that raw space. I’m telling you- be “ugly” because a kick ass partner won’t be into that level of perfection.💫

I experienced heart break 4 months ago. I literally did the opposite of what you guys said 😂 but for 2 months I worked harder than ever. I worked so hard that I ended up having a mental breakdown. Best thing I did was to work with a therapist. After the mental breakdown, I actually relaxed my work and fitness. I started writing more about my past traumas and I wrote about being at peace with them. I spent a lot of time by myself on purpose to self reflect and to truly heal from my heart break. In my experience, working hard and masking the pain was the worst thing. I only got Better when I tackled my heart break head on. I forsure didn’t want to pursue any person because I knew that I still had baggage. Conclusion, I think everyone must find their own healthy way of dealing with heart break.

My advice would be journal things you did wrong and things they did wrong in the relationship so that you can become more self-aware of what you need to change in yourself. But also to inform you what you should look for in your next partner. Everything you guys already talk about would already help massively through a break-up. The best revenge is success.

This is probably the best episode in the podcast so far. I felt myself connecting with this navigation into loneliness and despite the ambiguous answer at the end, it was more genuine than spitting out things we already know. I honestly didn’t think this topic would be any good just from the title but it exceeded my expectations since this discussion really sums up what it is to be a damaged man.

I think THE thing to deal with heart break is to fall in love with oneself, this may sound off to some people so let me put this more technical. When somebody you are interested in dumps you (severity may differ) you basically loose external validation, so the idea is to become independent of the external and build up the internal. That's why distracting yourself works to some degree. You invest and validate yourself instead chasing mommy and daddy's validation that you orject ontu other people. TLDR: Invest in yourself, validate yourself, love yourself and the world, a big everlasting YES to fate - amor fati

That’s why I’ve always resented my parents for staying together and putting me through their little Hell. They’re two people who clearly want to walk away but don’t because they don’t want to admit to sunk cost fallacy; they’re just gonna be miserable into their old age and probably die that way. The worst thing is I think a dysfunctional couple can do is bring kids into the mix, because then their lives end up sucking too. If I’m ever able to find a woman who will have me, I’ll be sure that we support each other without resentment or anger.

@davidzhan777
@davidzhan777 2 жыл бұрын
When I talk about a positive intonation to each episode, I’m not talking about resonating fake positive energy. What I am talking about is teaching men a proactive approach to going on offense, being completely raw, being completely real in terms of what it takes to succeed in the modern society. Becoming the killer podcast sets the mood for each episode to be a learning experience to become the best version a man can be. While the damaged man podcast sets the mood for each episode to be a therapy session. There is no right or wrong answer, this is just my personal preference, and I prefer to think of each episode as a training session rather then a therapy session. I honestly think it also effects the way the show is hosted, as the past 2 episodes has a different energy and flow compared to the first couple of episodes. Becoming the Killer just had that raw and mamba feel to it, every time you guys cue the intro it absolutely pumps me up! Once again coming from one of your biggest fans here, I’m a Taiwanese KZbinr with 240,000 subscribers, I’m also passionate about teaching men confidence, just giving my two cents because I think you guys provide a lot of value and I want the podcast to be a huge success racking up more and more listeners.

I agree that some people are addicted to the chase, also to the feel of brand new relationships. "breadcrumbing" is a thing with both men and women. I feel that within the last few years, especially with the rise of dating apps, more people are happy to be pen pals than meet face to face. Marriage is an investment, and young people should be careful. Focusing on oneself during a break up and loneliness really helps. In a way, you learn about the failed relationship, and hopefully have the awareness in the next relationship. Working out, meditation, taking classes, really helps to focus on what matters.

Thomas is a great guy, so is Sinbad- hope these too continue to liaise together; They are better together than apart- quite a dynamic duo- and good content; Also balanced-- they understand the red pill, but don't seem tooo bitter about it as other youtubers. They also show a human side to themselves- empathy, compassion etc.- rather than a false overly stoic mindset They also tackle some of the spiritual in an authentic way- meditation, SR,/no fap, both of which are empirically proven My wish would be if they continue the same quality of work /content as they ascend to the top , which i am optimistic will eventually happen.

Hi Captain Sinbad. To Improve the Transmuted app I would recommend putting in a time-blocking section that allows you to time block the habits in your day. I would also recommend that there be a place where you can input desired habits that you want to work on, for example meditation, and that you can input the amount of times that you need to do each habit per day, and at the end of the day when you pull out the sword maybe you could input the amount of times you've done each habit, and they could be saved in the statistics tab along with the streak. I also think there could be a portion in the journaling section that allows you to write a summary of the day. Thank you for the app and I can't wait to see it get better.

**Heartbreak philosophy** My philosophy with heartbreak has been to make sure I’m not aggressively trying to cut the person out of my heart or bury them in activity. It feels wrong. Let me explain. When you fall in love or become attached to someone you give them a space within your heart, right? (Try to conceptualise that as an actual space that has a certain size but the potential to become bigger or smaller or stay the same). Someone has entered your life and by will or by chance they’ve found a place within your being. With luck, their love has meant something to you and helped your heart to grow in the experience of the love you both shared. So, if they leave your life (for whatever reason) it’s important to try not to cut them out of that space within your heart. To do so would be to reduce its size, which is wrong. It’s regressive and actually makes you less of a person than you were before (your heart is smaller, a piece having been cut off). Of course pain can kill parts of you, sometimes your whole being, but that’s often a good thing and I truly believe that if you go about your regeneration in the right way, greater things will happen within and without. The pain of death is nothing compared to the joy of rebirth. If heartbreak visits you, let all the pain wash through you and accept that you love and miss the person now, and might always. This will be hard, but to deny the truth of your feelings and the full reality of a loss is unwise. Let yourself feel all of it, if you feel a feeling has to come out. Often I’ve gone to lie down if a feeling calls for it, because I recognise it needs to sweep me away. Like they say, if you get caught in the current at sea the best thing you can do is let the current take you back to shore. Don’t fight it. Cry, wail and curse the gods if that’s what your heart needs. But don’t close your heart off. Keep the door open, even if it’s just slightly. Light needs only a crack to enter. Accept that you found love and now it is lost. Of course it will hurt, of course you miss them; but it’s better to live in balance by acknowledging the love as well as the loss. It’s far better than to deny the love ever existing in an attempt to exorcise the pain. Because choosing to live with the love *as well as* the heartbreak will mean that your soul is balanced and your heart will grow in size: you’ll see the bigger picture. That life isn’t about winning or losing or gaining victory over pain: it’s about *becoming more* and allowing your heart to grow, so that it has a greater capacity to love. Like any muscle, the heart can be grown. Heartbreak is a strain, but like any strenuous exercise if you nourish yourself in the right way (spiritual practice, fitness, healthy productivity and other meaningful relationships) and give yourself time to recover, your heart will become bigger and it will become stronger. By allowing your heart to become larger, you’ll be able to fit more people in it. Over time, your heart will become a less fixed and tight place. With luck (we all need luck, but luck can earned) it will become a wide open space, not restricted by the pain but greater because of it; and able to fit a potentially infinite number of people inside. Thus, the percentage of your heart that any old person occupied will become smaller as the sum total grows and grows (like body fat percentage to muscle); and eventually that person will not feel like a problem anymore. They’ll be a gift. The memory of them will resemble that of an old song, that lit up your life once upon a time. But now it is time for new music; and you will simply smile warmly in remembrance of that old favourite song. You will always miss them, but you will miss them in the right way. If you cut people out, your heart becomes smaller: and having a small heart is no way to live life. You’ve got to try to live big in small ways, and having a larger heart is the only true way to do that. Take it from me, this has worked all my life. I’m proof that such a way of being is possible. I’m sure you’ve met people like this. If not then it’s up to you to grow and light the way. Growing your heart is very hard, but having a smaller heart is harder. Pick your hard. God bless

If you have written this yourself , then you are a great writer . Write a book . It will help other people like me to go through the tough times . I don't comment on KZbin . But you are the first one who earned my comment . I got cheated by my gf of 4 and a half years. I felt different kinds of emotions in last 6 months . But recently I adopted a philosophy like yours to handle it . And my heart is healing . And when I saw your comment which is almost same as my vision I felt so good . I adopted the philosophy , but you gave me the reason to stick with it .

If I get married, my partner has to be okay with us having separate quarters. We each have our own bedroom, office, and bathroom. I think you’re right about relationships falling apart AFTER marriage/moving in together. We need our own space. And if the relationship was working just fine, why would we want to mess with it by getting more in each other’s personal space? I’m childfree, though; so I don’t know how this would work with folks who want children. You can’t be too attached to personal space if you have kids anyway…

The separate bathroom is a must we have our own bathrooms and its the best, marriage is not important to us and we are also childfree.

On marriage: You may want to look into "AVOIDANT ATTACHMENT". I'm healing for it myself. Listening to you explain the need for space and being presentable sounds like classic avoidant behaviour.

I really appreciate your ability to be open and relatable, Nikhil. I think the point you brought up about viewing rejection as something wrong with you took a lot of courage to bring up - that is something I struggle with too. Also identified with your point about randomly months or years down the line thinking about an ex from the past. Lastly, totally agree 18-22 year old me would wish I was where I am now financially/professionally and would have liked to play the field. However just like you, my career and interest in photography take precedence so I am not interested in the process of dating even if I would like the end goal of a deep, meaningful relationship. Keep up the great content!

I think the best thing you can do immediately after a breakup is take care of yourself. I had a friend once go on like a 60 day bender after a breakup and he admits today it was the worst way to handle it. When I got dumped I immediately hopped on 75 hard and the feeling that I was taking care of myself and becoming better each day was definitely a huge help
