"We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons." -Jim Rohn Having systems, and methods allows us to be consistent. You can’t always have the heat, but by having a system, you can produce heat when you need it. I love the rebrand gentlemen; it’s more authentic.

So yes, I do feel stuck - month two of my separation from nine year marriage. I push myself though. I do get to the gym, meditate. I don't like that my yoga has suffered, and I've lost weight. Things I need to address. Recently I've reconnected with a friend I haven't seen in 20 years! We hung out lots in '96 and she moved to Texas. She's returned to Indiana under awful circumstances. Her father died this past February, her daughter past in March, divorced a husband under substance abuse. I mean, you want to talk about profound perspective. I'm feeling much better being there for her. Sometimes purpose is truely about putting effort into something beyond yourself.

@IssaIbrahim12 жыл бұрын
I find every time I dial in and go full focus on my goals, I lose perspective on my inner peace because these deep motivations that push me are very powerful but the problem is that we end up treating ourselves like slaves but we’re not slaves. It’s extremely difficult but by freeing ourselves from the emotions of obtaining these outcomes, that’s when we’re at peace the most. The problem is as men we tie our self worth to our accomplishments because that’s all we have to show for on paper. I’m trying to find my deep motivations through a healthier outlet other than fear, pressure and guilt but I still haven’t found the answer. Maybe its a higher power, or fatherhood or something more beautiful than doing something purely for ego.

Advice for Young Men: This isn't linked to the video topic but its important nonetheless.. You’ve been brainwashed to associate selfishness with negativity. Selfishness is the purest desire in this world. EMPIRES have been built, HUMANITY has been carried forward due to selfish reasons. Be selfish, build something, then give back even more.
@DjSoulsaver2 жыл бұрын
Yes Ryan! We meet again, yet again in another legends comment section haha. 100% accurate. Still get people giving me grief for being selfish in my building stages, I look at it like this, if you understand and or accept you'll be there when I "make it" otherwise, its time to say goodbye,. You can't give back while having nothing, its such little impact. My mother is the best example, shes given us everything she could, which Im thankful for however its given her nothing, shes struggling still as she was before. Eitherway, keep up the grind man. Need to sort out my main channel to start spreading the knowledge and we'll connect.

Early 2021 is when I had the most "heat" on my channel; at one point I think I hit 250,000 views in a 48 hour period. Coming from a few thousand views a day to that was just insane. It only lasted a few days, but I'll never forget that feeling of "FUCK YES SON!". As you guys were saying though, shit really starts to get real, and your resolve really starts to get tested when the heat is off. Are you committed to your craft, always trying to improve, or are you just going through the motions? It's difficult to stay the course and maintain that discipline when things cool off and you start doubting yourself again. Cheers, to bringing back the heat!

this episode really resonated with me because I've had big spikes in my yt journey, but also moments when the channel flatlines. But you know I'm always tryna get back into that heat.

MAN, This episode couldnt come at a better time. Seriously. Such relatable content its scary but also heartwarming seeing that there's people out there with the same feelings and emotions doing "much better in life", holding yourself to a higher standard and being hyper-aware of your potential is scarily accurate. I can be down for days because of that. This podcast is golden. Keep em coming.

I like the name change/rebrand. I think a lot of us men start out trying to be the toughest, trying to be ultra-masculine, trying to be a "killer". But along the journey, if we're honest, we realize much of that mentality stems from insecurity and fear and "damage"/trauma. I've just begun reading Carl Jung but one of his ideas was that a man needed to recognize his "anima", or the feminine aspects of his pysche in order to be truly whole. Thanks for the continuing authenticity in these podcasts!

One thing that helps me is to understand that I am playing with “house money”. No one thought that I would be a successful gym owner. No one thought that I would be over 100k. No one believed in me. Everyone wanted me to be a teacher , but i dropped out of college to become a gym owner. I do not come from a stable family , I don’t come from money, I was in pain my whole life. I beat the odds! I made peace with my past and now I understand that everything that I do now is “icing on the cake”. I talk to my younger self, to ignite my drive! “Remember angel, You had to go through your pain to become what you are today. Make peace with that pain and continue to become the best version of you”. Recently that’s what has helped me tremendously. I was definitely stuck in life a few months ago, but now I am at a better place.

As a creator, I resonate with the idea of heat so much. Articles and videos are almost schizophrenic, it just drops and goes insane for no reason. You have to learn to detach yourself from the reception. I write a lot about it, but going for Mastery over a skill is one of the most important ideas

I said a few episodes back that the timing for these episodes has been impeccable, but bro this podcast is so in-sync with my life rn it's insane. Recently come off an episode of extreme heat where everybody and everything came my way and I felt like I was glowing. Self-doubt has definitely been creeping back in and things have slowed down, so to have you guys explore it in real-time is dope af. But regardless of current heat, greatness is always coming kings

My reflections after watching this: 💭💯 💥The times I feel happiest in my self, is when I'm grinding away at something I'm chasing. 7:59 for me it wasn't alcohol, it just got worse with it, for me it was watching other people doing what I want to do. For the direcotr example: I often watch the BTS documentaries from Star Wars Episode I to III where I can actually see what directors, producers, actors, musicians, etc. do and have the sense of the "Call to adventure", what the binary sunset in SW IV actually is. :)
