I've faced many toxic people and situations because I lacked the knowledge of self. I always sought validations from others since childhood. I'm still young ( 15 years old) and have realized that loving myself is what I need to do. I want to be a better person for myself and others around me hence I'm on the path of knowing myself. I'm really grateful for this video as it helped a lot. 🙏

You're so insightful! Seeking validation is what young people are programmed to do to integrate a community and learn. Unfortunately this natural tendency is exploited by powerful social institutions in an effort of self-serving formatting and control at the expense of human beings. Go go go young person and continue developing your beautiful independence, critical but also loving eye and power! Keep up the good work!

Good Gauri, what I can share after many years on the spiritual path, is that self love is indeed the foundation of it all along with being grounded, sovereign and have gained strong boundaries. Practice saying no and you don't have to explain why is crucial. Saying yes is of cause also very important, but too many people struggle with saying no because they don't want to upset other people. You can say no with a smile and if you are authentic people will respect it, if not remove yourself. Have a wonderful journey beautiful soul 😊❤🌏🌻

@@larsstougaard7097 yes I totally agree and have realized it myself as well that saying no could be the best thing we could do to help a person in some situations. For the sake of the personal developement of that person and of course for oneself as well. As in many situations, I myself asked for help from others and they declined which in the long run benefitted me to become more self-efficient.

@@larsstougaard7097 I can totally relate with the isolation in order not to spread the energy unconsciously or consciously. But you know what, I’m starting to realise that if we allow people to naturally come in (without seeking them out) we’ll attract people who are a vibrational match to us right now - and we can choose how we want to connect with them. Sometimes I feel we abandon ourselves before we can even give others a chance to connect with us - plus we’re a mix a good and shadow, as are others. Isolation didn’t help me at all. Going forward I’m going to be more transparent with what I’m going through whether I understand it or not, let people make their choice instead of denying them the chance to do so and work on my boundaries. I think boundaries are HUGE - our boundaries with ourselves and others. What we’ll tolerate and what we won’t tolerate.

One thing to point out - autistic people like myself are often seen as self-centered because we use our experiences to relate in conversation, which is off putting for neurotypicals. We are actually working hard to relate and truly empathize. So not everyone who seems self-centered may actually be sucking energy out of the room, but adding light 💜🙏✨Intentions are what is key - never be afraid to clarify what someone’s intentions are. If they seem triggered, that’s a red flag IMO.

Alot of neurotypicals relate to themselves in conversations too, it's not abnormal. There's nothing wrong with referring to your own experiences we all do that. She said that bothered her and so she didn't know what else to do with me. I learned by the time I was 12 to ignore her. The next time she went to scream in my face, I stood there and I stared her right in the face. I told her that I loved her and that I was just going to let her scream in my face. I told her that I knew my questions sparked her and that I was going to just let her go off on me from now on and not say a word. Contrary to what many think, the souls evolution process is not always roses and sunshine... hense why some call it the dark night of the soul I refer to it as dark night of the EGO! our souls are our light guiding us along this journey... So for me personally I refuse to think of my soul as dark, period I know that os simply not truth! I personally see the journey as an ebb and flow some days flowing good, and some days ebbing back a bit on the darker shades of light! Seeing this as growth, and being gentle with ourselves during these important transitions are important for our growth. I like to say (clear, cancel, and release) with a deep breath while saying release! Or erase, erase erase when catching my mind replaying old unserving thoughts... Just let it go... I've had many people in my life say this to me... however if you haven't been aware of this tactic (letting go) this statement is forigen and unhelpful. It's through becoming aware of this process within your personal experiences that creqtes the change and then it just begins happening more and more until before you know it... even those silly thoughts don't effect you the way they once did! And you smile ♡♡♡ Yeahit might be a thought or memory that sticks around for a while, however instead of feeling the hurt that once was attached to it, instead you smile and say, yeah I remember, and its ok now! Life is good, thank you♡♡♡

I used to be the kind of person that the minute I would realise someone is toxic, I would cut them out of my life completely. It seems the last few months I'm evolving into someone who feels more empowered to allow these people to be in my life without them having a negative effect on me. Intuitively it feels right to be more accepting and to have faith in other's potential to heal themselves. This is a huge spiritual win for me! Though that being said, I still struggle with thoughts of wondering how much people can change vs those that will never change. I am a bit of a hopeless optimism that we'll all get there eventually but maybe I'm going to end up disappointed

I use to think that there was something wrong with everyone around me, and I was trapped, until last year when I started to do shadow work. then I realized it was me! I was powerless and attracted all these toxic people into my life. It’s like magic the more work I dedicate to myself the more and more toxicity vanishes from my life!

This message is so important and timely. In my experience, energetic toxicity is increasing (not to impose judgement) and I’m feeling it so much..feels like the scene in “Never-ending Story” and Atreyu is trudging through mud. But it’s for the highest good, to keep going, keep dealing, and mostly keep improving, even through the mud.

Another great video! Christina's videos really saves my sanity so many times! Just a couple of points from an alternative perspective and to add another layer to this topic... 1. Don't forget most toxic people had grown up having their own boundaries absolutely obliterated as children and a whole ton of them had people break their trust and their own agency as kids. A lot of kids who grow up to be even abusers are actually quite powerless inside because they developed this "eat or be eaten" mentality due to growing up very rough. 2. Manipulation has a lot to do with survival. If someone simply respected your needs and you had choices in life to go towards situations and people who didn't need you to "convince" them to keep them safe etc, then you don't need any manipulating strategies to "make" people hear you, understand you or care for you. Again, lots of people who's been through childhood trauma. 3. There is a difference between a gossiping drama queen who talks too much about her own problems without any self awareness at all, and someone who has been through something really difficult and is in grief or trauma and hasn't been able to find the right therapist to help them work through things, or can't talk about their struggles due to isolation as is the case with lots of women who goes through domestic/family violence. 4. Be careful to not just label people as "toxic" without knowing the difference between someone who don't realise it and want to actually change, and might be horrified if they realised they are a toxic person (and lets face it, not everyone knows their own faults and if you ghost someone who is a toxic person they might never know the impact they had on you), and the people who have awareness of the damage they do to others, but are not willing to develop any self awareness and has no interest in changing for the betterment of themselves and others. Sometimes people have come from such abusive and toxic childhoods they don't know the difference between healthy relating and unhealthy relating. 5. I would also add people who withdraw and are avoidant and dismissive as also toxic people who cuts others out of their own lives without explaination (what Christina said about the weakness towards the end of the video). Their energies for me are often also stagnant and heavy and they have superficial relationships and reject "negative" emotions that Christina talks so beautifully about in her video "The Truth about Evil". *look up the 4 attachment styles and how this impact on adult relationships (attachment theory). 6. People with neurodiversity such as Autism and ADHD may not be able to recognise boundaries because of how their brain works. Sadly because of this, and regardless of their intellegence or compassion towards others, many people with Autism and ADHD ends up in prison because they had gone too far without being able to recognize the boundaries of others or they get "stuck" in certain destructive behaviours. No matter how strongly you set your boundaries they will not be able to recognize the social and psychological cues.

Toxic people will definitely continue to come till you step in your power and you’ll feel completely different once you do so.... This is my current space and not just from the relationship I just walked away from but I can see where I was powerless before to know how to create boundaries moving forward. We all know what we like and know that feeling so well but we make excuses and see potential in the things we don’t like instead of standing on that feeling.

I have been following you for a couple years now and absolutely love your insight and guidance. This particular video was exactly what I needed to see/hear bc of my current living situation w my elderly father. I’ve moved from another state to help him and a new beginning for myself 5 months ago and it has been extremely challenging. He is very toxic/neg/narcissistic but I knew there was some reason God guided me here knowing it would be difficult. When I do my kundalini yoga and focus on 3rd chakra I am so much stronger so he has less impact on me. Thank you so much...this video came at the most perfect time!! 🙏💖

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for this. I've realized while watching this that this is I've been dealing with my whole life. Beginning with almost every member of my birth family. Then into every relationship I've had. Within the last couple of years after second marriage to my wife now, with her 3 children who came from a physically and emotional abusive background from her x. In the last 4vyears I've sunk into a deep depression after being happy go lucky most of my life. I have been working hard on coming into my own power for a year or so now and have definitely seen a change in myself as well as my wife and the oldest two, still a struggle sometimes with the youngest but I do see improvement! This video has been immensely helpful!

'Water is to oil, me to your aggression' is a favourite lyric of mine from Jamila Woods' song, 'Giovanni'. Becoming immune to toxicity is how we uplift ourselves and others, how we forgive ourselves and others, and how we rekindle old relationships, including family, romantic, professional, and social.

Hi Christina I want to say after nearly 20 years of living with a toxic spouse, you described eloquently exactly what I have been going through over the last two years. You just gave meaning to everything I more or less blindly went through and came out the right end knowing I am having this relationship on my terms. Of course along the way I have been diligently pursuing source as during other periods in my life. Just found you a few days ago and look forward to learning more from your awesome way of delivering the facts in a somewhat simplistic way. Keep doing what your doing you are right where you are supposed to be. Maybe my story will spark someone to begin to empower themselves. There are blessings galore on the other side!

Great content, as a former toxic person, I can tell you this is spot on. Never take a toxic or narcissistic person seriously, don't empower them, keep your personal power. The level below toxic is the agenda-driven person, they are not as overwhelming, but share similar characteristics.

I live with a close family member who's hurting, suffering and can become unecessarily, defensive and angry. It's wearying. I work to send Love & Light healing but lots of unexpected, explosive and episodic explosions. Otherwise he's very quiet and soft spoken, socially a bit hesitant. I'm following these true insights you're offering. At times I'm far less affected than others, but today was a rough one. I could never cut him from my life. It's just us now. I can't not keep them in my life, even though I'd like to check in to a hotel. This video showed up exactly right for me. I'm going to have see your boundary setting video next. Thank you.

23:30... I am walking in the supermarket listening to you and your wise words (it soothes me and prevents me from giving my energy away, which I normally love doing, but I need it for myself now and I have not yet learned how to)... And I almost started crying. I was in a very abusive relationship which I fled from back in 2007. I suppose it still impacts me 😥

Thank you again for excellent guidance. One more thing that may happen after taking these 3 steps you address: the toxic people may get very angry with you for not playing by their old rules. Don't let their snide comments or criticisms about your new behavior get under your skin. Toxics don't like you to say "no" to them. But that's their problem, not yours.

I remember, around approximately year 2000, independently becoming aware that some people, for some reason suck energy. Feeling like being in the presence of a black hole; whereby, they don't give in an honest and open way, including honest conversation, attempting to make an open hearted connection, but constantly depending on another's conscious energy/efforts. P.s. I think I finally and fully realise, see exactly what the people-made matrix actually is... and so, why we all really need to wake up... and personally make free from all the contradictions and distractions there of.
