Dr. Rowe shows how to quickly decompress your neck and upper back for instant pain and tightness relief.
If you're unfamiliar with decompression (also known as traction) think of a deep, opening stretch that helps take pressure and tension off the spine. This helps relieve minor aches to more severe conditions such as a disc bulge and pinched nerves.
Each of these exercises works a little bit differently, they're going to target different muscles and be shown in different positions. To get the best results, go through them all and use what gives you the most relief.
You may find too that you can get results in as little as 30 seconds.
Watch now and decompress your upper back and neck for quick relief!

Thank you for your videos. I’ve had a pain condition for 3 years. I’ve been to several doctors and have tried physical therapy and medication. Both helped a bit but didn’t resolve the issue which is now as bad as it’s been. The pain is mainly in my wrists and ankles (both sides). It all started within 2 days of each other so I have difficulty believing they’re not related. It started the morning after a day of squatting. I believe it’s coming from something going on in my neck which is generally really tight (I have a lot of difficulty turning my head to the sides, especially to the left. I recently noticed that if I back my head against the wall and press back (which gives a similar feeling as the first exercise in this video) the pain goes away, but only momentarily. I had an MRI done for cervical spine and head which surprisingly came back clean. I’m starting to believe it may be a false negative though due to the positioning of my head in the mri. At this point I’m kind of being shrugged off by my doctor and my neurologist. Is there anything you can suggest I do from here? I’m lost and in pain everyday.

I'm middle age (40) and I honestly didn't do the things I should've to maintain my health. Hence the reason I suffer with certain things at age 40, that most usually don't experience until age 80. Many of your vids have helped me. I like your vids because u talk about things that you've actually studied. There's a few doctors on KZbin, that are licensed Chiropractors, yet they never talk about what u talk about, they talk about other health related stuff that they just googled. Yet they have millions of people listening to them like they heavily studied the things they talk about; this is dangerous. I appreciate people who speak on what they know.

It didnt hurt at the time, but for 3weeks i couldnt turn my head side to side without pain!!! Since then i wont let a chiropractor mess with my neck!!! I never went back to her. An activator tool helps me instead.

Hey Doc, I have an issue where between my butt bone, and lower back, I'll do something where it feels like everything is crunched in together, and feels like bone against bone. And of course it's in all the nerve tree, if I sit on the couch, pull away at my hips, I get a massive "click". It's not like your typical pop like I'm cracking something, it feels jolting but I feel like the pressure is gone. Is there something I can do to avoid it from crunching in so often?
