ALOT of people are arguing about this which is pretty funny. It’s some main points a I wanna discuss to debunk this: -GER has no stats, it’s stated as a stand that surpasses all stands. However this is before the existence of WOU, Tusk, D4C yadda yadda. Some people for whatever reason scales GER (some scaled to star platinum lmao). GER again, does not have stats, you cannot compare him to anything, you don’t know how much he can tank, you don’t know much damage output he can muster. It is insanely fast due to futuresight needed to “dodge” him. -Return to zero, it is an ability that warps reality and reverts everything back to zero. An action performed or in the process of being performed has never or never will be performed because it was returned to the existence of before the action was performed. RT0 is a passive automatic ability, diavolo DID NOT HIT GER at all for it to work. Whether it’s always active is unknown, however it reverts all actions to zero that can affect GER. For those arguing TIMESTOP remember GER was fighting in TIME SKIP, which is an ability that skips and is incomprehensible outside of anyone that doesn’t have the ability itself. Such is timestop, it looks like teleportation but it’s just moving in a different reality or dimension exclusive to a certain stand comprehension. When RT0 was active, not only it nullified time skip but it was moving during time skips process. Which is like weird to explain. The important part is that it was unaffected doing as it pleased. So timestop wouldn’t work. My point is if RT0 is active and causes a zero affliction response, then no ability can affect it. But hey, that’s just my opinion. It’s a theory TL;DR The only stand that can lay a finger on GER is SWGB, because soft and wet does not attack the user with its attack, you sorta run into it on accident or something. However it can still damage other people, therefore nobody literally knows if RT0 works here.

I think WOU is the only definitive win - with Tusk ACT 4, GER reverts the intent to shoot in the first place, and Go Beyond, while being able to bypass GER's ability, doesn't do immediate lethal damage, unless fired at point blank range or aimed by Paisley Park, and GER essentially gives Giorno regenetation with its boosted life abilities. GER vs GB would only work if Gappy finishes it in one headshot or smth

S&W GB explicitly defies the logic of calamity, not logic in general; to defy logic in general it would have to be literally unexplainable, but clearly that is not the case, since we are given an explanation in-verse. It is an attack whose energy exists in the world even though the attack itself does not physically exist in the world, hence it is beyond Calamity, which is the chain of events that occur within the physical world. It's the same reason Star Platinum and The World defeat WoU; they can stop Calamity, if only for a few seconds, because they can stop the world itself along with the logic which the world operates on. With that in mind, GER can also most likely bypass Calamity by simply not allowing WoU to reach the fate that Calamity has outlined for Giorno. In the very same way that GER simply never allowed Diavolo to reach the fated event of his fist being driven through Giorno's chest.

Remember, Giorno is way, way, *way* faster than both Gappy and S&W, since he can speed blitz Diavolo, who not only is faster than Polnareff (MFTL) but also has precognition. If this is a one on one match, Giorno folds Gappy in half before he can even think to shoot off a Go Beyond bubble, or any bubble for that matter. And that's assuming the effects of GB cannot be reverted.

By GER logic, it not only reverts actions but also will to zero, better said, even mere thoughts back to the point they were not yet thought of, thus by having a long range stand, having a bunch of planning in a place far away from Giorno and attacking Giorno, RTZ will activate but the RTZ has to revert you all the way back to when you started even thinking of killing giorno and hence back to the place where you were, where you are too far away from GER to attack you. Also note that RTZ is something not even Giorno can sense so Giorno will be clueless and hence you can use the same trick again, only to get RTZ'd again and hence the fight is a stalemate.

I can see where you are coming from but the whole "Giorino can only revert attacks" is a huge misconception that makes little to no since, and the argument "sawgb defies logic and his bubbles dont exist so he bypasses rtz" is easily debunked, ger reacts to Diavolo in time erase and when Diavolo is in time erase he does not exist much like sawgb doesn't exist. and in the context of JoJo's, defying fate> defying logic.

You've made a crucial misunderstanding here - GER resets *events* to zero, not attacks. GER's death loop is caused because it constantly resets the event of their death to zero, causing them to never actually die. This is stated in the manga (and IIRC somewhere in the anime). Giorno himself is not aware of this happening (GER literally says this out loud). Also, GER undoes Diavolo splashing blood onto Giorno's eyes (despite that not actually hurting Giorno), which means it affects anything that disadvantages Giorno, not just things that directly harm him. This shows a few crucial things: 1. RTZ is completely automatic 2. RTZ affects anything that *disadvantages* Giorno, not just harms him (eg. blood being splashed on his eyes) 3. RTZ is able to reset things that have nothing to do with Giorno (eg. somebody else dying) 4. RTZ is able to reset events, not just attacks (eg. a person's death) (note: several of the deaths are accidents so this isn't just Giorno resetting an attack) So, by category: 1. Death 13 can't fight without GER being active because GER works independently of Giorno 2. Osiris/Atum/Boys II Man can't take Giorno's soul, Anubis can't possess him, Enigma can't turn him into paper, Atom Heart Father can't capture him, Jail House Rock can't erase his memories, Cheap Trick can't get on his back, D4C can't cause paradoxes, Tusk can't apply spin to him in the first place (or even get on the horse) (These things disadvantage Giorno even though they don't directly harm him) 3/4. Bites The Dust can't explode Giorno, SCR can't mess with his soul, C-Moon can't make accidents happen with gravity, Love Train can't redirect misfortune onto him, WoU's calamities can't hurt him (these are events that harm/disadvantage Giorno, even though somebody isn't deliberately doing it) The only stands which might have a case here are Made In Heaven (because for one reason or another, Giorno can't seem to affect its ability despite the above), and Soft and Wet (because it seemingly doesn't trigger "catch all" abilities like WOU)

GER's stats are all "∅", and I interpret that as being irrelevant of stats. First, Well this only theoretically way to beat GER since his full ability remained mystery as in jojo guidebook stated giorno himself doesn't even know what the stand fully capably do. Second if reverting action doesn't work GER could reset the will of the user of attacking GER thus will remain the same result as reverting action as well. Third we speaking Requiem stand that have 'none' in his stats. even the latest guidebook(jojoveller) which include Tusk act 4 and D4C. GER stats remain none and still on quote "Above all stand" or still can't be measured with existing stands in the guidebook. he's faster than MiH(based on his guidebook) and don't forget GER is a sentient being which also mean he also got his own consciousness like WoU and other stands. He aware of his surroundings even when fate itself decided to kill him (in diavolo case which he could bend fate itself to his favor) And the last i didn't say and never say GER is the strongest. His ability itself isn't that powerful, he's just an invincible stand that you can't harm. Tusk, soft&wet and WoU themselves is much stronger than GER in term of of their offensive ability 🤞 The idea if him can be defeated is debatable. But it's realistically not since all kind of action and will can be reverted by GER

About WoU calamity also debatable but for me personally it will be a stale or draw. Here's the fact, in Manga calamity manipulate logic. And logic need causes to operate. Anything that bound with logic will struck by Calamity GER Is surely bound by logic and Calamity could struck him. But GER simply reset the cause. And Calamity needs logic which also needs cause to operate. Calamity simply could spam the calamity so does Rtz. It will be never ending battle. This only happen if we ignore GER op stats such as speed, precision, AP etc.

Also About S&W also can beat GER if the GER let himself struck by the bubble. The fatal downside about S&W is Josuke have to be very close to his enemy in order ot hit them perfectly. Josuke himself can't control or even see the bubble, he can only predict where It's going. But since Josuke is a human and have a will to beat Giorno, his action will be reverted before even releasing the bubble. An easy win for Giorno and GER Personally Only WoU that have a chance to beat GER since WoU isn't biological being and can continue to spam the Calamity until the end of time. Very different from Giorno he needs to eat, and sleep. He'll have to endure it until he can't anymore and loses to WoU

So, first, no, it's never stated or showen that RT0 is automatic And its still possible, from all we have seen from GER, that for RT0 to be active, you would need to attack the person. Since that happened in canon, against diavolo, and in non-canon stuff, like Eyes of Heaven Ger was only showen in a small fight, so we aren't sure about it's limitations So, it's possible that other characters could defeat him directly, by being faster than him,like MIH, or attacking him before RT0 can be activated in that scenario, like The World or StarPlatinum during time stop

If what you said about Requiem is true, then Time Erasure should not have been reset, only Diavolo's actions. Erasing Time does not inherently harm the opponent. The ability makes the user invincible, and the user can manually end the ability, or it stops at 10 seconds. Additionally, Diavolo has to manually deactivate Time Erase to attack someone. In every instance we see in a fight, he sets up an attack, and as soon as his ability ends, the attack hits someone. A condition of his ability is that he cannot affect/harm individuals doing it. So Diavolo's intent to harm, was enough to make GER reset his ability, in addition to his actions. It's based on the concept of intent to harm, similar to WOU. Anyone, regardless of their abilities, if they have intent to harm Giorno, it will be reset. Anyone who attacks by conventional means, will be reset. There is also argument to be made that RTZ will permanently disable your stands abilities. Diavolo was unable to use Epitaph and Time Erase after his ability was reset, and couldn't defend himself with King Crimson because he was severely outclassed in speed and power. Both D'arby stands, Ken Oyanagi (the rock paper scissors kid), Anubis (attacks by conventional means, and wouldn't be able to possess Giorno because of GER's ability), Terunosuke Miyamoto (Enigma), Yoshihiro Kira (Still attacks you indirectly to cause harm) and Miu Miu's Jail House Lock. The ones that are really stupid, are C-Moon and Killer Queen. It Literally has to attack you for the inversion to work, and the gravity can also be counted as an offensive attack), and Killer Queen's "Bites the dust" causes direct harm to anyone who tries to find out Kira's name, all of Killer Queen's abilities kill you. D4C is another one. To be affected by the misfortune, you have to attack the Love Train first. It's a purely defensive ability. And because the mistfortune has a chance to come back to you, if that does happen, it gets reset because it is an attack. Basically everything you listed still uses their attacks conventionally with intent to harm, so all their actions and abilities would be reset. The only actual abilities you mentioned that have a chance against GER are S&W and Act because they are fundamentally different. Their abilites touch concepts that are fundamentally impossible, which is an argument to be made. The rest are either direct or indirect offensive abilities, that would get reset. If Time Erase (a non offensive ability, that can be used offensively) can be reset, why cant the other ones be reset?

wouldnt cream beat ger? when vanilla ice is in the void he is controlling the ball outside but he isnt in the same dimension so his will isnt attached to thr void ball and therefore he could theoretically hit and destroy ger, but tusk can move to other dimensions and so it would be able to. unless u count going into the void as an offensive attack

None of these really work except maybe go beyond and even that is debatable. Just because an ability is passive doesn't mean it can't be reverted idk where that came from just kinda sounds head cannony. I'm gonna ignore all the fodder stands you brought up because I'm you don't seriously think they have a chance. GER is beyond time so Killer Queen is out of the question. D4C without love train is useless because any alternate Giorno he brings would be unable to touch GER. Love trains best case is a draw but because act 4 was able to get through it and ger just has better feats I think it would be reverted. As for tusk itself he was able to kinda move in time stop but not freely. While Giorno was able to negate someone who moves outside of time and without difficulty which is just a better feat. WOU may not require a user but the stand itself is still vulnerable to getting reset. WOU just hasn't been shown to work on the level that GER can and calamity doesn't have any of the time surpassing feats so saying it overpowers GER is a little weird

Thanks for feedback! The honourable mentions were the ones that I believe stand a chance of maybe stopping Giorno in some way but never actually defeating him, for example Enigma could trap Giorno in paper, assuming the jumpscare he uses isn't one that triggers RTZ. However, when he's in the paper, he can't destroy it or put it in harms way. I believe Killer Queen could defeat GER if Kira loses all willpower to attack Giorno when it activates, which is also why he's an honourable mention. The reason why I think it works is because passive abilities in the right condition, won't require a will to attack. Hence why I believe WoU defeats GER, as his passive doesn't even require Toru to even acknowledge Giorno, unless he threatens the Locacaca. D4C: LT is a little more debatable because of whether his clones would reset Valentine or the alternate Giorno, however Love Train has a defence passive that moves injuries to your heart (I should have brought it up in the video), which means if Giorno even had a scratch, it could be near fatal. Giorno can still heal himself but Valentine can replace the surrounding environment with alternate clones of objects, which could be fatal if Giorno gets in the middle of. Tusk Act 4 is probably the most debatable but I interpret his ability to break through any barrier as being able to work around RTZ. I could be very wrong about this but for the most part I believe he can win. Lastly Go Beyond's ability works beyond logic and reason. GER works within logic and reason and therefore Go Beyond will hit him, even if Josuke gets reverted. Giorno has the potential to recover from Go Beyond, unless the wound is so bad that it erases something like his heart or brain. Go Beyond can be set as floating bubble traps. Sorry if this is too long, I'd like to see your thoughts on this too. TLDR: Passives have the potential to beat GER, most of these are passives. Go Beyond and Tusk do funky stuff, D4C does even funkier stuff.

The only reason I called them fodder is because of the opponent they have to deal with. I'll start with Killer Queen because I think it's the easiest to debunk. I'm confident in saying that Killer Queen would not be able to touch Giorno at all. GER was able to completely halt King Crimsons punch in it's tracks a stand that is physically faster and stronger than Killer Queen. SHA would be dealt with in a similar manner to how Josuke did just kinda puting it back into Kira hand. Bites the Dust just isn't helpful against GER it's just too situational. Giorno could defeat Kira pretty easily before he could set up BTD. But even if he did activate it GER was easily able to revert time being erased by Diavolo so I see no reason he couldn't revert BTD in the same way. Tusks ability was able to get through LT not because act 4 has the ability to break any barrier but because his attack had infinite energy. Saying he could break any barrier would be a No Limits Fallacy. By that same logic I could take GER "None who stand before shall ever get there, Regardless of their abilities" and claim he could beat any and every fictional character ever (obviously not claiming he can I'm just showing how the argument doesn't work) . Also RTZ isn't really a barrier like LT or something like Gojos Infinity it's different. It's not something you can "break through" with enough power or speed it's beyond that. Even Infinity can be set back to Zero. The only two stands I think might have some arguments are WOU and Soft and Wet GO BEYOND but I believe that GER could still come out on top. With these stands it's impossible to know how these abilities would interact with each other and we just have to kinda make a good guess based on everyone from the series. My opinion is that they would be reverted to Zero. GER is beyond time but more impressively it's beyond fate. Diavolo was fated to rip Giornos heart out in his premonition but it didn't matter because that truth never happened. Giorno dying to a "Calamity" is the truth but that truth will never happen. This is why Giorno is so special in these vs matches wether it be in universe or cross universe. He is kinda the Hax Nullifier. Go beyond may not exist but neither did time for anyone but Diavolo and his King Crimson. But how will Josuke ever launch the attack? He can't because it never happened and never will happened that is the ability of Gold Experience Requiem...

Giorno in Eyes of Heaven states "When my Stand's fist hit his Stand, I'm sure that Requiem activated", implying that he has to hit someone with his Stand in order to activate Requiem, when that is obviously not the case in the series itself and is never stated to be the case in any supplementary material either. It just so happens they had GER only use RtZ *after* it made contact with TWOH's fist, and it just so happens that TWOH's fist touching something is the activation condition for Reality Overwrite. Almost like they couldn't have Giorno beat him and instead wanted Jotaro to win or something.

Wonder Of U is fully capable of inflicting calamities on other people because he did it to Josuke when he tried destroying the Locacaca medicine. That would be considered an attack, however the mere act of looking or even thinking about the head doctor is enough to cause a calamity to hit, free of Toru's will. Josuke seems to be able to aim Go Beyond but very slightly, for example when he hit Wonder Of U directly through Norisuke perfectly. He needs to be close to actually do it but he's still capable of at least pointing it in the right direction. Josuke can also lay the bubbles down as traps, as that's what killed Rai Mamezuku. Rai was only able to touch Wonder Of U because it caused a Calamity to happen, seeing that he died instantly afterwards

Tbh, none of the stands listed can beat ger, and that's quite clear cuz whoever had a slight negative intention towards giogio or a contradicting will, he'll be doomed. Even for gb, it's the bubble that defies the laws of logic and reason, so even before launching it, the act will be negated. And the same goes for all of them. I believe the existence of many many Many ways giogio can beat the calamity and i' ll demonstrate one : if the stand started attacking first, the calamity will activate a'd that's certain but depending on what the attack is ; a living being or giogio himself. If he sent a living being towards giogio then it'll be affected by the flow of calamity, Nevertheless any dmg made to a living of giogio is redirected to its own user. Which is a clear win. If giogio attacked and the calamity activated, it'll be automatically negated and ofc thanks to his high iq he'll figure his power quickly and will end up using the first plan. Other stands just go with the same concept, any slightest intention or movement that was intended to hurt giorno at the very first place will get automatically 0'd.

One problem with GER is that automatic passives (free of will and action) wouldn't really be a reason for GER to activate, and it's been shown that someone can remove their will to fight or pursue thanks to Kaato. The reason Toru wins is the fact that he doesn't even need a motivation to beat Giorno, he just needs to wait for Giorno to pursue him

I think that sptw and tw could also defeat ger since they stop time. I don't think that rtz can acrivate in stopped time. Rtz defeated kc's time erasure ability but in kc's case time for everyone else still flows. But in dio and jotaro's world time itself stops for everyone else. In the duration of stopped time they could kill Giorno and the flow of time would continue. That is unless GER can detect someone's intent to hurt giorno and returns to zero before time is stopped.
