Last week an old friend of mine turned to atheism because of personal problems in the family. Tomorrow will be the first day I'll have access to him and talk about it. This video came right in time because it reminded me of some things I've gone through and I can use as testimony and evidence of God. Please pray for me and him. My name is Pietro and his name is Kauã. May God be upon all of us!!

Similar!! I was raised Christian, but wasn't given the evidence, and when I went to college the Zeitgeist movie was a big part of making me think it was just the same old story from many cultures. I never denied Christ as LORD though 🤔 I read something similar to Lee Strobel's book early in college. Then my desire to sin took over & I joined the relax on Sunday crowd. When I wasn't working. I actually probably would've gone to church on Sunday nights had I known there was a thriving student ministry at Life Church. I just thought I had to miss out. I was scheduled Sunday mornings, and I hated when people complained about the church crowd, so I wanted to stay a leader on that shift to be someone who DOESN'T complain about people. A co-worker (at a different workplace) started inviting me to church when I was pregnant with my 2nd. They always went to the early service, and it was so hard for me to get up & get my 3yo dressed for church & be across town BY 8:15. probably a year went by, she'd still invite me to church. Then something awful happened with my baby. It was so wrong and ridiculous, I was terrified at times, angry, sad, confused. All I had was a prayer most nights 🙏😭 When the trauma drama had cooled down we finally made it to church. I got used to taking both kids, and getting there early to say hi to my friends. I remember the artwork on the screen of the song we sang, that I loved, music draws me in pretty hard. My Dad always says "preaching to the choir" cause me, my Mom & her family are singers & more often than not, in the choir. My thoughts at church were, 'well, I literally have nothing to loose, either Jesus is LORD, or not, I'm going to practice submitting to Him, and figure this out as I go' I had addiction to shake, anger (still praying about that) and learning about God's Word. I have each year grown closer to Christ. Being in the Word, practicing sharing my Faith. Had many experiences along the way! And I've seen some really cool ways God has worked in my life & others'. So little bit of all 3 😅 answers

I was born in the church (a biblical traditional denomination, even) and it took over 20 years of my life for someone to show me how Christian faith was evidence based (it was a William Lane Craig debate I stumbled upon some 15 years ago). It made all the difference. Before, I simply COULD NOT evangelize, I was afraid I'd crumble under the first question. Now I look forward to it. I also used to separate church life and my everyday life, thinking they were a bit incompatible. No longer! I'm happy to teach these things on Sunday school at my church nowadays, because it's bonkers to me that the majority of Christians don't know the arguments for Christianity.

Thanks for making these videos. I've been a Christian since I was 10, and I have experienced God and the Bible just made sense of reality, but listening to your videos has helped me to have the confidence to become a case maker for the Truth. I gave a 40 day challenge to atheists on my channel on Tiktok (social media for atheists) and after 30,000-40,000 views and a twist of the David and Goliath story. No one could step up and make a reasonable defense for atheism. The only rule was that it had to be a true Apologetic and not just another Polemic attacking Christianity or theism. Thanks to you, and Ken Ham, Frank Turek and many other Godly people, I can stand on the simple truth that the Bible is True beyond a reasonable doubt 🧐 Anyway thank you for all you do for Jesus

These are excellent questions for unbelievers because it gets to the heart of the matter of each individual person. Christianity is actually a scientific belief because His resurrection was a historical fact Even Jesus Himself challenged the Jews and said, “Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.” (John 7) In essence, Jesus said if your are serious about finding God you will be on a fact-finding mission

J Warner, I really like how you word it as an aggressive stand of questioning that each person needs to use to be hearty towards any theory for the answers, whether a person is asking why a crime was committed or why the Apostles were unlikely to not mean what they said. Peter was told by the Lord he would deny Jesus, this is huge. It's embarrassing and hurts his credibility...unless he's not the great authority but rather Jesus's trusted ambassador to the things that happened to/around Jesus. Jesus was predicting a petty thing, but it wasn't petty as a truth, it was Peter being shown that Jesus once again knew Peter could mean well all he wanted, he was still going to be more petty and embarrassing than it would seem Peter would want to have predicted about him. Then for the Apostles to be hated, killed and captured in the word doing things like Peter and James disassembling themselves from the Gentiles. It's like everything the Apostles wrote would stand as directly convicting themselves of atrocious sins that Jesus was correcting them of. They also openly admit that they didn't know a thing until it should have been so embarrassing to do so, and then were each killed in horrific ways, enabling us not to believe in Peter or Paul but in Jesus as the only infallible word of God. Thanks for taking your career this route, your videos help a lot of people. Dave from Canada

Before I became a Christian I always knew deep down that God existed but I was confused. I always questioned the theory of evolution that I was taught at school and I always thought that religion was all about punishment so I just questioned all of it. I had never read the Bible until 6yrs ago my mother in law (who is a Christian) gave me hers and I have to say the first time I read it I definitely had a spiritual awakening and a hunger to learn more. And after reading and learning about the eyewitness testimonies of Jesus Christ documented in the New Testament I have found them to be credible and evidence based and I without a doubt believe they are the truth. But even Satan knows the truth of who Jesus is so I have to say I didn’t become a Christian until I knew the truth and understood the nature of my sin and my need for a savior and I put my faith in Jesus and accepted the gracious gift of salvation that Jesus died on the cross for and I started my walk with Him that’s when I became a Christian. And although I don’t deserve it I’m so thankful to our loving, gracious and forgiving Father in Heaven for our Savior Jesus Christ

I was raised in a Christian family. Didn't have any doubts about God. At some point, I'm not sure when, I began to have doubts and at some point I decided evolution made more sense. I wasn't satisfied. I started reading about the two theories. After some years and reading and watching videos, I came full circle and I believe creation is right. It's difficult to talk to some folks. Some are closed minded and have no room for any ideas other than what they believe. That said, we never know the impact of what we say sometimes. A small seed can become a great tree. Asking certain questions puts the burden of evidence on them as well. If you only try to answer their questions the burden of proof is only on you.

Great video although would like to make a remark: Jesus teaches you will recognjze a tree by its fruit. This means you will NOT encounter a muslim or a buddist claiming to have been changed like as you meet a disciple of the Lord being born again through faith in Christ just because a muslim nor a buddist is not changed at all. So the testimony of change is still strong evidence. Example: I was declared to be schizophrenic and set free in a moment through an encounter with Christ about 35 years ago. After this I worked with muslims but never encountered any muslim, nor ever heard of a story of a muslim being changed as I was changed.

That is why I reject the Pope's claim of succession to the Apostles. Not one Pope from Linus or Clement (or whoever they claim was Peter's first successor) to the modern Pope Francis has ever seen Jesus alive after his crucifiction thereby disqualifying their claim of succession.

We don't see" life ", come from "non-life"
@kristinam417817 күн бұрын
That caught me off guard, but I think the point was that we see life, and have to explain where it came from if we're going to claim to know how the universe began. In the secular worldview, life came from primordial soup or whatever other non-living things were floating around. In the Christian worldview, there was no life on earth, then there was life - created by the living God, yes, but God isn't part of the universe. He exists outside it. At least that's how I understood his statement.

We make it to complicated, We should be able to defend Christianity by the way we live. To try defend christianity from our perspective ( what it means to us, from our evidence instead what it means to God, is where we get into trouble). It is God who saves, and against Him alone have I sinned, and while I was a sinner before I knew Him, He loved me, not for what I am or who I am, despite what I am HE LOVES ME AND YOU! peace be with you!

"What do you think happens when you die?" I go to my grave and wait for the return of Christ. My evidence is found in the teachings of Jesus: Jesus taught His disciples that no one has died and went to heaven: "If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." John 3:12-13 Jesus also taught that "all" the dead, the wicked and the righteous, from Adam up to presence day, all are still in their graves: "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of Judgment." John 5:28-29 Check out the exchange between Martha and Jesus: John 11:21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here my brother would not have died." v. 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” v. 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” 1Thessalonians 4:16

No one died and went to heaven while Jesus was alive. He had not yet led captivity captive. But I don't want to argue with you about soul sleep. The important thing here is that those unbelievers don't become dead outside Christ.😢

If you think you are a christian because your parents were christians , then you obviously never read the bible. In the gospel of John that these were written that we could know that Jesus was the son of God and having life in his name. If they can't tell you when they made a decision for christ then they are not a christian, No matter what they think.

@@OfentseHardware-ee8qeIt's still 100% on the child to accept or reject Christ. Sometimes, those Bible raised and taught little children make a profession of salvation, but only live the rest of their life having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. The deception of their false conversion is loved by the devil. I know many such church-raised children that point to a time when they were saved but 1. Do not have any personal relationship that includes prayer and Bible study. 2. Have almost no interactions with Christian people aside from those they see at church on Sunday morning. Nearly 100% of their close friends are of the world. 3. Do not reject sin in their life and bare the fruit of an ungodly lifestyle. Drinking, smoking, drugs, cursing, pornography, worldly dress and worldly customs are common. 4. Only chose a church (if at all) based on its entertainment value or things the church has for them and their family.

J, wanted to say something to challenge your thoughts on whether Matthias really was Gods chosen replacement for Judas? And also ask, because I truly have never read that to be an apostle, one had to have seen Jesus baptized? Maybe Matthias did see him baptized, however after his election by the apostles, there is no further mention of him anywhere. Enter Paul. Paul claimed to be an apostle, which is equal in office to a prophet, he was chosen by the Lord, and he was physically touched by the Lord, scales were placed over Paul’s eyes. Asking in a completely humble manner, hoping you’re able to see that. We’ve met before, I was the first person in line after you ran out of books at our church, but I’m sure you won’t be able to remember that cause I sure that happens quite a bit. This doesn’t change anything, we’re still saved by grace & understand that we must first repent (turn away from) ours sins, to hate our sins as much as GOD hates our sin and trust in Christ Jesus alone for our salvation. Thank you J.

Yes, you're entirely correct. It's also entirely correct that Luke himself was very clear to never claim he was an eyewitness. Instead, he clearly stated he wrote his Gospel after making an extremely careful study of those events of Jesus' life by those who were witnesses. His Gospel is a reporting of the facts being shared as Jesus commanded by his disciples and followers to do so, not his direct experiences with Jesus personally.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Be careful when evaluating the path or motives of another. You can't know why they end up where they end up. Even if it doesn't make sense to you. Prayer is more about your communion with God than it is about getting him to accomplish the tasks or purposes you ask of Him.
