I do sim racing and had an endurance race yesterday where I had to defend quite hard from the guy behind, and today this video pops up :D. I did defend succesfully, and noticed myself doing some of the things you point out in this video! There's still a lot to improve in my sim racing techniques, and I find that a lot of your karting content also applies to the sim! Thanks for the quality content!

@@kartingtips Mainly Assetto Corsa and sometimes Assetto Corsa Competizione, I'm on PC with a pretty basic setup (desk mounted wheelbase and a single monitor). I've just joined a league and found that having a calendar of races made my practice more constructive and efficient than just joining random lobbies. I would really like to get into iRacing for the ability to hop online and race anytime but the costs are holding me back for now.

Awesome video! Basic tips, but make a great difference on the track. It's hard found in rental karts people that respect the lines and don't try to kill you when you are defending. 😅

Consider that the opposing driver will probably make a mistake at some point... this opens up a window of opportunity for you to overtake them
