All you have to do is just keep the door open until everything has melted. No scraping is necessary. Scraping can damage coils.

Guys why you cannot just use Google or simply use a common sense?.... the more you open your deep freezer the more ice are you going to have it. If it sits in the garage, like in my case, it's really hot there. So of course you're going to have more ice build up this way... you have to do it as often as ice build up

@@shprzdlite317 No, I haven’t had any issues with tipping once you start putting in frozen goods. This unit has been really good given the pride point from Costco.

At least once a year. Twice is even better for the long term of the unit and energy consumption.
