I remember modeling my own dorm room in 2D, with Macromedia Flash authoring tool. Then moved furniture and sketched how things would work out. CS major too. :-) Interesting video!

Even though I have been out of college for a long time, I'd add that you should try to avoid any unnecessary clutter and try to maintain a very tidy room. Time spent trying to look for things can really be time consuming and wasteful. Another thing is to get a dorm fridge, if it is not furnished. This will be an absolute lifesaver when the dining halls and stores are closed for the night, and you are wanting a cold drink on a hot night. Or, just even a snack when you are burning the midnight oil.

Especially in winter or for all nighters using daylight-bulbs really had a positive impact on my productivity. At least for me they always trick my brain into thinking the sun's still out at 9pm although it's been dark since 5. Their colour spectrum is the easiest on the eyes since it is literally the kind of light we evolved with for millions of years and a single bulb is bright enough to eluminate my whole room from my desk. (I use a milk-glass lampshade though to tone it down a bit.) They are a bit expensive but my first one lasted me for almost 4 years of daily use (I knocked it over and it broke) and it's replacement is almost 2 years old now.

Can you do a video about what a computer science student has to know before entering to college?
@atinysoftbean16456 жыл бұрын
I study computer science and while you don't need any specific knowledge, but here's some tips: - Be on a good foot with maths and its basics, since your first two semesters will cover A LOT of Linear Algebra and Calculus - Also, find out if calculators are allowed in exams and practice calculating in your head accordingly - If you know some basic boolean algebra/logic, you get a head start since that is something we learned in the first week in almost every subject - If you can find out what programming language is taught at your college, look into that for another head start - Get to know Linux and working with Terminals a bit, it can be really helpful along the way

I've been watching you recently for motivation. I'm in Ontario and it's been a real struggle to achieve and maintain a high average, but watching you really calms me down, and also gets me into a working mood. I've cleared out a lot of my social media intake, but I'll always look forward to watching your videos. Nonetheless, I'm really excited for university. I'm hoping to get into Waterloo or UofT for engineering, but I think McMaster and Queens are good schools too. Anyway that's my little rant for today. I can't wait for your next video! See you then.

Can you make a video about how to be better and how to like programming? I mean, its not my passion but & i'm already on my 4th yr too late to back out feeling like what I know and what I can is not enough. I've been inspired by your videos, it makes me try to pursue this course just a few more months coz its not easy for me to change courses men im not rich 😂 I'll try to like this course I think i will if only i can get better with it. I can try practicing more but just seeing a code makes me sigh
