As a PhD candidate who has been working on finite element analyses of sheet-based lattices, I believe it would be a great idea if you could add a feature to the workflow which leads to shell elements. Actually, for FE purposes, shell elements can reduce the computational time up to 98% less than solid elements taken from volumetric lattices.

Is fusion 360 free for hobby use ?

I can generate lattice structure using volmetric lattice in Fusion 360; however, I couldn't render any lattice in Fusion 360. Do you know how to do it? Thanks

coming from ntopology because am waiting for a mesh to render and quickly realized, its worth waiting

Is there no volumetric lattice on the free version? I do not see this option on my version. Thank you

Awesome feature, I wish it was available in the general features, luckily I was able to get product design free for 30 days with educational license.

You can do this by using various infills (gyroid would work great), and turn off your top and bottom layers and set your perimeters to zero for specific areas using modifiers. It makes for a MUCH smaller file.
