Why are people so butt hurt about the language he used i didn’t even notice it. All i noticed was a great video explaining a good gambit
@chrislevy420695 ай бұрын
Don't worry about them, I know I don't. Its just more comments for the algorithm. Thanks for the kind words, really glad people are liking my videos!

I agree. This is Chris's channel and content. The videos are extremely informative and for those who can't stand a little salty language please view the thousands of other channels. Hypocrisy exists when those who don't particularly agree with something try and tell someone else what they can or can't do or say.

I call these lines the Improved Milner-Barry. I learned them watching GM Jesse Kraai on the Chess Dojo. He calls it the EZ System against the French, I think.
@chrislevy420694 ай бұрын
I learned it from Chess Dojo too! I think I ended up calling it the New Milner Barry like Jonathan Schranz, but improved Milner Barry sounds better.

I learned this from Simon Williams in his Chessable course for e4 grandmaster gambits this is an insane opening

FINALLY A FRENCH COUNTER! Thank you for giving me a reason to like playing against the French holy hell you are the GOAT
@chrislevy420695 ай бұрын
You know it! I spend all my time on openings, my endgames suck, so I have to pretty much end the game in 20 moves or its over for me hahaha
Loving your videos man it's always been a pain to go against the French Caro and scandi which turn to boring ass lines now I finally have q response to that shit thanks alot 👍 keep it up bud
@chrislevy420694 ай бұрын
Of course! French, Caro, and Scandi really bothered me for a long time as well, half the reason I made these videos is so I can remember my own lines! Making the video really cements them into my brain though, helps a lot. Check out my Kings Gambit video I uploaded last night!

Anyone else notice that the move order in the intro and the move order to get to the position at 2:20 are not the same? You have to play different lines if black does not play Bd7 before cxd4.
@OcteractSG5 ай бұрын
Also, any tips for the Franco-Sicilian? That’s where black plays 2… c5 instead of 2… d5.
@chrislevy420695 ай бұрын
Yes the move order thing is a slight difference, but the lines play very similarly. You just castle after they take D4, usually they take on c3 as well, take with the knight, and the most common move there is Bd7, just transposing back into the same line after Re1. A lot of the lines are actually stronger without the Bd7 move included.

@@OcteractSGFranco Sicilian, I have to say all that I ever play against Sicilian is the Smith Morra, so I would try to transpose back into that. D6 is a very common move against the Smith Morra so I am usually in familiar territory there. If you aren't convinced of the strength of the Smith Morra, just wait for my video on it!
@OcteractSG5 ай бұрын
@@chrislevy42069 The Franco-Sicilian is a transposed Smith-Morra Gambit. If black declines with 2. e6, we transpose to the same position. I suppose you’ll end up covering it in your Smith-Morra video, so I’ll look forward to that. I’ve been looking at playing 3. d5, which is called a French Benoni, and it does seem to be the critical approach for white.

I see you have some anti Blackburne shilling Gambit planned for future, I have a lichess study (Currently not completely annotated) that might help you with a little bit of research. If u want I can share it somewhere u want.

What I don't condone is GothamChess and Jesus Christ put side by side, like they are equals. Do you really want to inflate his self image even more? I mean, he is already the son of God...

I know right, that guy really has a chip on his shoulder. Levy's pretty cool though.
