Thanks To say “pick items that make more than 80% of sales” sounds like an oxymoron. Rather I think Wilson meant “pick all the items in the Pareto curve that fall into 80% of sales. For example if sales1 = 40%, sales2 = 25%, sales3 = 12% and sales4 = 8% then sales1 through sales3 are possible heros and sales4 is one of the other categories.
