This is a really under discussed topic! I do a LOT of prototyping work in my current role, and learning WHAT feedback to ask for has taken me a while to develop. Thanks so much for this!

Thanks for sharing! I think prototyping is a hard skill to master. For me, I'm always fighting against my urges to make it as polished as possible...and, as you mention, it's so important to be able to clearly articulate what you want others to focus on when sharing that prototype for feedback.

Great videos, Tim. Keep up the good work. I’d love to see more how to workshops for developing interactions in storyline, such as examples of the performance interactions you mentioned in one of your videos.

Very elaborate explanation of what a prototype is! Tim you are indeed and expert and a pro! You have great background music too! what is the title of that?

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! As for the background music...I honestly don't know. I downloaded it from Envato Elements years ago.

Compared to the bearded guy that promotes the storyline product, your explanation is very clear and direct to the point. I've learned a lot from your videos in a very short and tight schedule. Thanks again for sharing.

Hi Tim, this session is really helpful. So what we do is break this up into two parts - the wireframe which we call the static GUI screens to give the client to show the color scheme, how the Help and other buttons on the interface will appear. By doing this, we save time while creating the Functional Prototype as we already have the GUI in place.

Question, what tools are best to create course materials from PowerPoint to instructor guide and students manual

It depends on how advanced of a tool you want to use. For me, I'd suggest Adobe InDesign...but it's a complex tool. Microsoft Word or Publisher are good and similar alternatives.

Hi Tim! Thank you for your videos, they are very helpful! I don't understand yet how to upload and share a stroryline project on the web. Do you have any related video about this subject?

Hey Alexandra. I don't have any content on this right now, but here's a resource that might help: mike-taylor.org/2017/11/11/google-cloud-platform/ Or this one: blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/share-e-learning-courses-amazon-s3/?REL&Email&RELFEED

Can we skip storyboard part and instantly creating prototype and save time?
@elearningacdmy
@elearningacdmy 2 жыл бұрын
Great question! There are some instances when you might want to skip storyboarding, but I don’t usually recommend it. I explain why in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6bUfJ6FgtZ4p8k

@@elearningacdmy Thank you Tim. I'm simply looking for the fastest way to create courses because that's what my managers want. I am in charge of creating the concept, which I pass on to the developer who develops it in Articulate. They want it to be interactive and interesting of course, but not too time-consuming.

@@milan6439 Got it! Thanks for sharing. If you're "creating the concept" and then passing it off to another developer to build, then a storyboard is exactly what you want to be using to create that concept. Perhaps, a good option might be to create a visual storyboard, which can help make the development a bit faster.

Hi Tim, it's me again. In my company, we try to find the fastest solution for creating an eLearning project. So we have a permanent client for whom we have already developed a visual style and direction for all trainings created through Storyline. The goal is to choose the fastest way to avoid the process of creating content maps, storyboards through PowerPoint and the like. My idea is to develop storyboard through Storyline, so I'm wondering if Wireframe Prototype is the best solution? So, in combination with classic storyboard elements (vo, interaction, text, images) let's use wireframes to complete the story? Has your opinion changed since my last comment? Thank you very much.
