I was getting this code after replacing the whole manifold. I honestly didn’t think that plastic house would keep it it from running right and I didn’t have the rubber to connect it. I will plug it in when I get home and if it works you have finished my 3 week repair process🤣🙏🏽👍🏽

I also had this code. Changed the sensor. Didn’t work. Took the intake manifold apart. All parts work. Nothing loose or broken. Was about to give up. Before putting her intake back on there engine , decided to clean the flaps and the manifold itself since it had a lot of gunk on the flaps. Put it back and it has been 2 days and no code yet. So, maybe for some of you guys try cleaning the flaps and the intake itself.

Great video. I have a 2009 VW Passat CC 2.0TDI (diesel CBBB engine - aluminium intake manifold). I had this code several years ago - I purchased the DieselGeek bracket that prevents over-travel of the intake manifold flap actuator. The fault has come up again several years later - wonder what it could be this time? vehicle runs fine, but scan shows the intake manifold runner control Bank 1 stuck closed and also the fault for stuck open? Wonder what it could be - is that vacuum connection the same for the TSI and TDI?
@motorcarnut Жыл бұрын
Yours is a little different, can be the sensor on the runner or the vacuum solenoid or the flap itself that is binding.

Superhelpful video. I have a 2014 scirocco 2.0 tsi and got a 2015 code. Took it to a big indy shop who want to replace the camshaft sensor. From my search the intake manifold replacement should fix the issue. Can the camshaft sensor throw a 2015 code?

I've been dealing with a strange vacuum suction noise coming from my car when I start it. The check engine light will flash and then It'll stop as well as the gurgling. I don't know whats happening. @motorcarnut Жыл бұрын
Did you check the PCV valve? There is a round piece on the top and on the side is a hole, when the car running there should not be vacuum coming from that whole, if there is it PCV valve should be replaced. The gurgling can be a blown head gasket which would also cause misfiring.

Can you tell me where the other vaccum line on the intake selinoid goes I recently put injectors in my Volkswagen CC and I can't figure out where the other vacuum line goes to that seal annoyed on that nipple
@motorcarnut Жыл бұрын
One goes to from the back of the vacuum pump to the solenoid, then to the vacuum actuator,if you do have another port it’s just a vent with a filter that mounts in the middle of the valve cover

Is there a third vacuum line on the solenoid or is the bottom barb capped?
@motorcarnut Жыл бұрын
Some models have a third vacuum line that goes to a fresh air filter on the valve cover and should not be capped!

No, it should have the fresh air kit with is basically a rubber hose with a air filter attached. Or just run about 1 foot of hose and attach it somewhere near the oil fill cap area. If you block it, it will cause problems.

2012 Volkswagen CC Sport. Just replaced PCV, Coils and plugs and installed a new intake manifold. still throwing p2015 and occasionally 0300 codes. but mostly p2015. The engine revs higher while in park and the actuator on the intake Manifold seems to be stuck in the open position. Even when I manually move it back to ease the vehicle back to normal rpm it sucks the actuator arm right back. Its like there's too much vacuum. Any advice? just buy another intake manifold?
@motorcarnut6 ай бұрын
I don’t know, sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. When you installed the manifold you made sure the injectors slipped into the slots correctly? Because if not that can create the problem you’re having.

Would a blown turbo leaking oil into the intake charge cause this P2015 code? I’ve replaced the manifold with the updated design one, carbon cleaned, checked vacuum, etc etc. I’m thinking that oil is getting onto the runner flaps, migrating over to the sensor, shorting the sensor out, and tripping the code. After the manifold replacement it took a month or so for the code to come back. 2016 VW Tiguan 2.0T 109k miles. This car is a demon spawn from Satan himself I can’t believe how dogshit these engines are. They’re in everything VW and Audi! Terrible!

Yes, especially when these engines the way they are designed build up carbon like crazy and cause all kinds of problems. Also can be a computer software firmware update needed sometimes.

Got to check the intake runner flap for proper operation or can be the sensor near the oil filter on the intake manifold.
