Thank you for all that you do! Thanks to you I'm finally getting answers from my doctors. My tsh was normal but I wasn't feeling normal on 88 mcg of levothyroxine. I asked for a thyroid ab test and then they were like oh you do have hashimotos. Thank you for making me be my own advocate.

Yeah, it’s disgusting how some doctors can’t figure out what’s wrong with you and say it’s “in your head” instead of saying” I’m sorry, I’m not capable of figuring out what’s wrong with you” smh. Btw, it took years b4 I found out biotin interferes with thyroid tests. I always take max dose and had never heard it from a doctor to stop taking it several days b4 my tests. I finally realized it after I saw it on one of Dr. Childs’ videos. Then my labs came out abnormal. Thanks to Dr. Childs!

Doc, you are a Godsend. I had to go back on Iodine supplement and on carnivore diet. On Mag as well. Improving day by day. No antibodies and all thyriod labs were in "Normal range", but throat pain was dead give away ultrasound confirmed my suspension. Goiter was found.

Yes! Get the antibodies test 🙌🏽 I have had hypothyroid symptoms for 15 years (47yrs) I was diagnosed with benign nodules 6 years ago. My GP and endocrinologist still only tested TSH, which was in ‘normal’ range and told me to wait and see. No medication given. My symptoms are getting worse each month. I just paid for the antibodies test and it came back today TPO >1300 TG 345… off to my GP to ‘discuss’ the results. Any recommendations on where to next?

@@dreamingfairytales my GP didn’t care that antibodies were evident and was more bothered that I had gone against his advice to test for them. I am looking for a new GP. I have consulted with a naturopath who prescribed a targeted probiotic, vitamin D3 and a trace mineral complex to restore thyroid function. I am yet to re-test my antibodies as I got covid and am in recovery.

Doc. My husband is diagnosed with primary hypothyroidism from last 10 years with no symptoms and absolutely no weight gain...his tsh is > 150 and ft3 - low and ft4 - 0.18 low..his TPO antibodies is normal, so we presume that he has no hashimoto his vit d and vit B12 is pretty low and cholosterol level is same from last 15 years in borderline, his bp, diabetics, liver are all normal too...endo asked him to take 100 mcg synthrox..but we have been watching your videos getting better clarity..we are reluctant on taking any medication instead wanted to cure naturally. We are currently focusing on slight change in quality of life..he walks, stick to low calorie diet with salenium, vit d, vit b12, zinc, protein based food, increased water intake, sleeping pattern is improved..also trying to focus on yoga..kindly suggest what are the natural ways to reverse his thyroid to normal without any medications...

So I pretty much begged my doc with testing for full thyroid panel. I even wrote down all the names of the tests, which was quite a few and some were uncommon. She told me she would. I get my results back and only 3 tests were performed🙄. I have chronic fatigue, pain, dry eyes and skin, itchy skin, cold hands and feet, etc. Anyways, my tests and results are: T4 Free: 1.37 TSH: 1.89 Thyroperoxidase AB: 28 u/ml Of course, my doc said all is well. Does anything stand out to you based on just this? Thank you!

Thank you for your videos, Dr. Childs. I was dx with Hashimoto's 9 months ago, TSH was 14, and TPO was 37. This came upon me right after completing my breast cancer treatment (stage 1b) which consist of chemotherapy, radiation, and plastic surgery with implant in placed. My team of cancer doctors do not believe the BC treatment is the causation of H, so I am still looking for the root cause. After 3 months on 50 mg Levothyroxin and a special diet - free of gluten, sugar, soy, diary, alcohol, and caffeine, my TPO is below 15 and TSH is 3.3. However this week, my thyroid is swollen on the left side (side of breast cancer treatment) - looks like a goiter and I have a globus sensation and very sensitive to the touch on my neck. After the ultrasound, my endo says it's nothing abnormal and said to live with it or have surgery. Please....how do I find relief? Do I really have Hashimoto's or do I have damage to my thyroid from radiation? Please reply. Thank you!

Please answer this question if you see it. I have a patient who has tons of symptoms of hypothyroidism, however, her TSH, T3, T4 all fall into the normal range. She had an ultrasound completed, and it shows that the thyroid is normal. If I check in she has the antibodies present is it safe to assume she has Hashimoto's?

I had high tpo antibodies, elevated prolactin, unexplained weight gain, dry brittle hair. Dry skin, cold intolerance, throat pain, constipation, unexplained prolonged vaginal bleeding, normal tsh (the only lab my pcp was willing to run) and I was told that nothing was wrong with me. I kept pushing, switched doctors and an ultrasound revealed that I had Hashimotos and had been being misdiagnosed for years.

Back in 2015 when I was 23, my doctor told me I had abnormal thyroid but then after that, I had testing by a few other doctors and even during pregnancy they said my thyroid was normal. Why does that happen? My twin sister was diagnosed. Now, I'm having miscarriages and no sex drive and other symptoms and am trying to get tested again.

Hi! Wow, im sooo glad i found your content; i only wish i found it 3 years ago. In 2020 i had went to immunologist because of contiunally itchy hives and several other bothersome symptoms. He found TPO count around 70. Its been going up steadilly and in thr last 6 months it jumped from 200 to 799. Im eager to get that count down. Questions: 1) given that steady rising count is that sufficient to diagnose even tho thyroid hormone levels are always stable. 2) can hashimotos result in the body attacking sperm/ make it harder to get pregnant? 3) if im trying to get pregnant do you recommend i first wait to try and get those antibodies down before getting pregnant? Esp since you mentiond pregnancy can make it worse. Ive never been pregnant before 4) any known ways to limit the chances of passing this on to kids?

can taking supplements such as methylated B vitamins etc.. interfere with test results? I've been taking these tests for years and no dr has inquired or suggested to stop supplements prior to blood work.

To my knowledge it's only biotin that interferes, but I haven't looked at every b vitamin individually.

After years of back and forth with my gp, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s from my recent blood test, it showed high tpo and tg antibodies, I am now on levothyroxine so hopefully that will help, and yes you’re right my doctor stated I had autoimmune thyroid disease, and that just meant I’d be levothyroxine for the long haul. I wonder if autoimmune conditions run in families, as most people in my immediate family have a autoimmune condition, however we all have a different one, strange 🤷🏼♀️

Hi Doctor Childs, Thanks for this useful video really appreciate the efforts done here, just one question, can a Hashimoto patient with Hight anti bodies develop subclinical hyperthyroidism? Recently my TSH has reduced significantly, and I always knew that often hashimoto leads to hypothyrodism not hyperthyrodism. Thanks,

Hi Dr. Childs, This is off topic, but it relates to a previous video. In one of your videos, you mention not taking products that haven’t removed the animal’s hormones. My doctor sold me a Standard Process formula. I noticed it has bovine, heart, spleen, and other animal ingredients. They say they only removed thyroid hormone, but not all hormones. Would that cause issues? Thanks

Hi Dr Child’s I just got my Tsh down 2.62 from 3.95. My T4 remains at .9 since January and my T3 went to 2.7 from 3.0 I tend to fluctuate between my T3 numbers. Does this mean that my Hashimotos is acting up? My thyroidglubulin is always negative 1, last she tested in January of this year my TPO it was 6. I am still feeling symptomatic brain fog, cold feet, constipation and hair loss, brittle nails? can I safely say my Hashimoto is the cause, for the low T4 and Low T3? I am currently On T4 50 mcg and T3 30 SR compound Or Do I need another increase on the T3 she has been increasing by 5 mags every 6-8 weeks. It’s so funny you bring things up as they happen to me. It so happens my doctor didn’t check my TPO but she did check my RT3 it is 12 it went down from 14. I feel she should always test my TPO as the other is always negative 1 not once since I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2018 has that shown any number only my TP0 highest since diagnosed 9. Thank you so much for all these videos they help me so much. I am gluten free, 16/8 fasting as few days a week and still can’t lose weight I lost some but I am on a stand still. I take B12, 2500, D 5k, K Mk7 100, 30 zinc, 1k c, and three Brazilian nuts a day. Drs need to know more about this disease so many people untreated it’s so sad the stories I read! 🙏
