Your amazing! I have a hyperthyroidism and was never told until 4yrs later. I actually quit going to a Dr bc the whole time every Dr told me I was a mystery even specialist 2 hrs away. So pretty much I really couldn't eat much but yogurt & purple grapes & a protein drink for about 4-6 months not knowing it was called fasting. I dove deep into research, started eating things to wing out of my diet which I'm still doing & figuring it out. Trying to turn over into just a carnivore diet with a few veggies here & there. I can honestly say my mind is completely back thank gdness, appetite is better, still swell ever so often. But I've done several different kinds of cleanses, with food, & supplements. Then I started building up good bacteria in my gut & try 2 fix leaky gut if I had that too. Slow process, but once you know what actually does what then you know the proper steps. This just confirms that the liver is another cleanse that I need to do! I am literally putting all the pieces together myself, sometimes I wished I lived in a big area so I could find doctors such as yourself. But most of all I've done it myself & learned so much in the process! Thank you

I started taking iodine (just 2 drops of Lugol’s) several times a week and 2-3 Brazil nuts daily and I’ve seen such an improvement in how I feel and how I’m less stressed. My husband has noted the same. Both my mom and grandma were hypothyroid and iodine drops have helped tremendously after my grandma would end up in the hospital several times because of how severe her illness was in her youth, and she never took any additional meds since. We need iodine but our body does not produce it. I’m fact you can do a simple test. Dip a cotton swab into some iodine and draw a bit on the inner arm. If the mark disappears within an hour then you’re deficient, and if it stays for 5 or more hrs then you’re not deficient in it.

@@drwestinchilds thank you and I've done low carb for a long time but it hasn't helped but with the thyroid meds my gut has always been messed up and I'm from Costa Rica I grew up eating very healthy and still cook like my grandma used to cook and I had carbs way before getting hypothyroidism what can it be causing my hypothyroidism?

What if you have radioactive iodine done to you. That's what made me hypothyroid now I am having problems with my insurance company paying my doctor for my care. Because in January my doctor will not be in network with my healthcare plan. I have digestive problems. I had to have Gallbladder surgery because they couldn't save it. It was too inflammed then I had a lot of surgeries too many of them. Then I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and I had severe diarrhea.
