I just installed a FH-S501bt and I fond during sunny days it is entirely too dim. Sitting right now and it is cloudy and the display is probably half of whay I would want.

The dimmer and brightness function shown in the video above is nearly identical to DEH-S3000BT. DEH-S4000BT offers direct control for iPhone and selected android based phones. On Pioneer DEH-X4600BT the Dimmer can be switched on and off with 2 operations. 1 is to press and hold the Arrow Back Button on the face of the in-dash receiver. or 2 by using the Orange Wire for changing illumination with the vehicle. If you have a Pioneer DEH-S4000BT, no you can't change the colors. Many other Pioneer in-dash receiver models have color changing operation. @@omarikari2 I recommend to press your receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer MVH-S622BS just below the USB port on the front of the receiver. You can see it in this How To video from Pioneer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYKboWuYbduNgcU You can have a dimmer ON brightness setting, and you can have a separate dimmer OFF brightness setting. What model of Pioneer in-dash receiver do you have? The model number is printed on the in-dash receiver usually in an upper or lower corner of the face of the product.
