How to disable windows genuine and activation [without any software]

After disabling in software protection stop services you have to hit apply or it will come back. That's why it was there when you right clicked computer and scrolled down it was on again. A step you forgot.

Open Run > Services.msc > Go to 'Software Protection' properties > Disable start-up and stop the service. Open control panel > System and administration > updates > change settings > Set to never check for updates. I did these steps just now, don't know if they work yet. Anyway I saved you 10 minutes of bad editing.

I would recommend to skip the introduction and instead of using notepad you should edit your recording with video editing to edit text. This makes your video easier to summarize and shorter which is better for the user to overview.

really great guide! was able to remove that annoying banner within minutes!!! the video was a tad bit confusing at first but basically, all your doing is going into file properties/change user permissions/close and reopen properties for changes to take affect/then delete the bugger!] thanks again for this quick guide! very helpful and no time wasted on downloads to do a manual cleanup job. i do believe this method would also work for removing malicious software that gets on your computer and says "insufficient permissions" to delete it. the reason is they try to keep the user from having rights to manipulate the file, but if you know how to use a PC, anything can be manipulated. Happy Tech-ing!!!

If you have the My Computer shortcut on your desktop, right click, 3rd or 4th from the top says Manage click that it will take you straight to Computer Management without having to go through Control Panel.

This is the best method as there is no downloading volatile software, so in service protection you disable and stop licence notifications to Microsoft, then disable updates, i followed the video verbatim, once done open computer properties, windows activation will say status not available it works ,

Thanks man. You can edit your video on the free windows movie maker program and cut out things inbetween. You can even add text ontop of the video of you doing the steps instead of using notepad. You should try out camstudio. If you're not already using it. Then take a video of you doing th steps without notepad then add words ontop of it while you do it on windows movie maker =]

Did this really had to be a 10 min video... start,type in search "services" then find software protection and go into properties,make sure it is disabled and stopped. then go into control panel,system and security "turn automatic updating on or off" and set it to "never check for updates" then click ok. I hope I saved you some time.

You should remake the video, USE WORD WRAP It is a option under FORMAT so put a check mark on it and that will automatically word wrap your sentences formating the text you are using Notepad.exe to enter to describe this tutorial. This is just a tip foryou.

Chuck Anderson Don't take this as some sort of spam or anything, but if you want a fast clean version of windows that activates itself, there is the Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview. It's available from the Microsoft website, just go there and type Windows 10 free download and you can burn it to a DVD or USB. I would recommend USB though. All you would have to do, depending on your monitor's resolution, is change the resolution to fit your screen, or as close as possible. then use Project Spartan to download Mozilla Firefox, download java, and go to your video driver's website, preferably NVIDIA, and use the site to scan for the recommended driver installation for your machine. I just wanted to spread this around so that just in case Microsoft decides to remove it from the site, tons of people have it already. And I said Firefox because Google Chrome doesn't support Java anymore for some reason.

Easier Method Step 1: Navigate to System32 Step 2: Find a file named Slui.exe Step 3: Take Ownership of Slui.exe Step 4: Move Slui.exe from System32 to anywhere else in your computer (i prefer the desktop) Step 5: Enjoy not seeing the popup message ever again *Disclaimer* if you run a system repair function like an sfc scan you'll probably end up seeing the popup again because this function will replace the removed file but the fix is simple just follow the steps again to remove the new slui file
