I find it so interesting that so many people have made comments on how "annoying" this girl is.....perhaps you find her annoying because you hate aspects of yourself that perceive as embarrassing/you have your own insecurities about how people perceive you in situations where you're not comfortable. I found myself having those reactions at first, and then realized that I'm not too unlike her when it comes to speaking to someone I'm intimidated by...as much as I *don't want to be*. But if we want to integrate ourselves, like Teal talks about, we need to see the parts of ourselves we try so hard to hide.

Becky, it is annoying to know that Teal has intelligent and insightful things to say, which we might be able to hear if someone would ask well thought out questions in a clear voice, listen to the answer, and then follow up with more logical questions, instead of acting silly, giddy, and giggly. It would be just the same thing putting this giddy interviewer on a race horse, she wouldn't know what to do, she would sit in the saddle acting silly, and we wouldn't get to see the race horse run.

Totally get what you're saying Monika & Casper -- both your responses are understandable. That being said, I personally believe that our reactions/feelings towards things in our outside environment are a direct reflection of our inside environment so although you may not have resonated with what I said above, your annoyance/how you reacted may be telling you something regardless :) If you don't believe that, that's totally fine -- we're all entitled to our own beliefs!

I admire Teals reactions because she stays so fucused and with her own. She doesn't let herself be drawn in that strange energy. If I was sitting on Teal's place, I would get lost, trying to meet with what the woman expects as reactions. Like pleasing her. Not disappointing her.
@anakirilova25162 жыл бұрын
That woman is just…very, very British. They are interesting communicators to say the least. Very awkward. She seems to have an additional trait of nervous laughter. I didn’t feel it was strange though. The way I see it, Teal can remain focused & present because 1) she is able to not perceive the energy as a foreign sensation to herself, which eliminates reactionary response, and 2) she doesn’t see personal gain in this woman’s approval. She has also mentioned in the past that she can’t do much for anyone who is unwell if she resonates the frequency of their ailment/issue. What you are describing sounds like you find safety in social approval a lot.

True selfishness IS selflessness. Keeping in mind that in order to continue to be helpful to others, we must respect ourselves. If it's harmful to ourselves, it's harmful to all around us. When we truly help others, we truly help ourselves. Giving what we have to offer, is what drives us. If we're in a situation where we find ourselves not wanting to give what we have to offer, we must recognize that we're not being all that we can be, and so there must be a better place for us, and that we're trying to fit into a role that either someone else would be better suited for, or that should not continue to exist.

Without context what she says sounds odd perhaps, but I know exactly what she meant, she got it and she is doing it! YAY! LOVE YA! I especially love how people tend to link their emotions, well-being even to my personal freedom and decisions i am making for myself. People attacking your for not eating meat and then calling you problematic, religion choices, relationship choices, even clothing choices, they narcistically state that everything you do towards your own self-realisation is done to harm them and make them suffer, so one can conclude if others link their happiness to your unhappiness you should consider the priorities and goals of the person you are giving your attention.

I agree that the conversation just stayed on the surface. But perhaps in the state the person was in, there was nothing more Teal could do. I find these workshops bizzare sometimes, as people who go there seem to be intimidated and can't hold a conversation, or truly open up. After all Teal is not a therapist, this is not going to work the way therapy works. Also telling people the truth won't hack it sometimes. Perhaps the woman needs next to quit her job, feel slightly awful about it, realise the problem is not really the job (maybe the job made it worse)... so, just go through all the stages, until she realises what she truly needs in her life and how to solve inner conflict. After all, outer conflict just reflects the inner conflict so maybe there's more digging needed to find a resolve and reach a peaceful state of integrity with all the conflicting desires one may have. The questions that could be asked are: are you sure it's this job at fault? how is your next job going to be better? what are you going to do to feel better in your own skin, and feel better about your decision? How will you express authenticity from here on? I think the nervous laughter is another "mask", in order to appear unaffected by things, it is not only an expression of being nervous. So people who are triggered by it here, the trick is, it's not that you can't cope with laughter, you can't cope with the "mask" and perhaps the underlying sadness.

I appreciate your take. I believe she is showing a facade to protect herself. Do I have my own facades? Absolutely. But conversing with someone’s facade can be frustrating. It feels like a waste of time interacting with someone’s mask and guessing what is underneath it. I can empathise with her defensive body language. Some part of her views Teal as a threat (or judge or critic) and she is trying to protect herself by hiding vulnerable parts of herself. I can empathise with that. It’s a very raw and vulnerable place to be. So her honesty checked out here.

Very insightful. Thought Teal would prove a bit deeper but that didn't happen. I think maybe it was cut short because the woman did indeed come across as willing to say whatever she had to to appear agreeable. Definitely, I am appalled my the condescension in the comments, though not surprised, people who think they are enlightened are often sad wankers. My daughter is one of her students, this was a really big decision for her, and she made it and I can't wait to see where she goes! She is exceptionally talented. That is the thing these people don't realise, just because someone isn't good at public speaking, doesn't mean they are not incredible at what they do. She is an amazing teacher, but she is also exceptional at what she teaches, and teaching has been an important job, that she started very young (straight out of high school) and now she is going to flourish and have an incredible career. We have just watched a very talented woman make a huge decision to grow. But she made the decision before she talked to Teal, she just wanted to reconcile that with leaving the students she loves and who love her. He laughter was mostly confusion, as she understood Teal from the very beginning, but Teal didn't realise that is how many Australians talk so kept repeating herself. I found that more frustrating than my friends nervous laughter.

I agree - she was being inauthentic with herself, and the laughing covers up actually wanting to ask questions or know more. In reality she cares about looking good more than she cares about the actual "problem". I wonder if she pretends to "play dumb" when in fact she just doesn't want to say what there is to say for fear of disappointing others (which on the flip side still wanting to look good).

I think her laugh is a mechanism to cope with the anxiety of being there talking with Teal and many other people.. I found it hard to follow her.. the constant yeee it makes me realize she wasn’t really understanding what they were talking about

Something about non-confident people is really irking. Maybe I take it more personally because I too have been and still am a bit like that... but I just kept thinking how women and men differ and generally speaking men are confident in themselves, they allow themselves to exist. Like I just want to tell the beautiful lady to take up space and that you have the right to be there and ask questions. That you are worthy and to relax and let yourself be. Every laugh and yeah felt like an attempt to escape. Kudos to her that she even got up their being so nervous- quite brave.
@destroyraiden3 жыл бұрын
they say men are born and molded to be confident while women are born and molded for to self conscious. It really starts with he is strong and she is pretty, or he is smart she is pretty, big difference in those two words 99% of people will say something constructive about a boy while for a growing baby girl it's pretty.

I wish the girl would ask Teal to clarify what she meant instead of saying ye ye ye, when its so obvious she didn't absorb anything that was said. I think this would've been more beneficial for her if she hadn't been so nervous, or wasn't in front of an audience

With all the controversy around Teal. I would say that it does not matter if her past is made up. She has a talent for what she does anyway
@rekostarr71496 жыл бұрын
There would still be something very sinister about it. I'm just going to say that we all need people that we can trust in our lives. People we can't trust fully perhaps also serve a purpose; for example, you wouldn't get too close or commit fully to them. Teal said it herself that her goal is to get her information out there first and foremost and so a level of distrust may somewhat be beneficial to that end. Some people would use controversy to their advantage, and embrace the spotlight no matter the personal costs; not my style. It is important for me to unshackle myself completely from long-term hurtful controversies.

I was led to watch this after watching the 11:11 video. When I tell you, the conversation between them is the exact one I've been having internally...both sides. I know this was meant for me. This was confirmation x10 💚💚💚.

I feel so angry to the universe becouse i think that the way we raised conscoiuness its so painful and everyone around me I see are falling into emotional crisis and i cant do anything to help them, i know this is not something I suppose to feel but its in me right now help me :( like this resenment to the universe and the way it works why cant it be easier? We cant we heal thorugh love and softness? Teal just I love the way you walk with us in life and you literally saved my life through light Lov u

Mara Stephania Garcia Maya we can heal through love and softness period
@tessarae91276 жыл бұрын
You feel this way because it is true. We do only heal through love. However, healing is not possible if we are not willing to find our wounds. Imagine you fall off a bike and skin your knee. If you apply a bandaid and all that jazz without looking at it, you're going to be less successful at treating your wounds. A healer does not save people from themselves. A healer shows through example how to become saved. You are no different. Emotional crises is difficult but also immensely beautiful; it is beautiful because the pain oftentimes becomes a turning point. If you want to find a way beyond suffering, you walk the path of being the change you want to see in the world. Understand where they are, go there yourself, and find the way out.

My bf laughs when uncomfortable or nervous. I found it very annoying at first I still do from time to time but I try not to give him a hard time about it accepted who he is I kind of feel bad for this girl at all the comments that say she's annoying yes ,she may be annoying but she's a human being and has feelings she might be reading the comments... We all have insecurities

I don't know if anyone cares but ima lay this out here for myself later... this lady has a prominent Moon ruled Nakshatra (baby-like, rounded, sweet, nurturing, loving, silly, emotionally vulnerable) and Teal has a prominent Sun ruled nakshatra (warrior-like, stoic, disciplined, wise, an adviser, structure oriented). This makes the dynamic between them so beautiful to me, like Sun and Moon lol. Vedic astrology aside, these are innate parts of this girl's personality, why you people gotta be so disrespectful?

her comment at the end (12:55 onwards) is a perfect example of cognitive dissidence , she has ideals and ambitions she fancies yet they don't fullfill her.

😂 OMG So cute and gentle girl! Love her nervous laugh! I think the problem in that kind of situations, and she didn't ask, is how to convince the other part that it is also in their best interest the decision you are taking. How help them set free that resistance? It also apply when is an actually inner conflict, how is the better way to let the part in conflict to know that is time to take a different way than the one it's preferring? 🤔

Omg, i have such mixed feelings about this video! I cringed so much when i listened to the nervous laugh and the continuos yeah, yeah, yeeeee of this young, beautiful girl that i hardly finished the video. It is clearly that she is nervous speaking about her problems in public, but in the same time i'm not sure that she even realises how exagerated and stessfull for others are her nervous reactions. I think she is a gentle, kind soul and i guess she was courageous to face her fear of public speaking. I even realised that at same point i do that also when i am nervous...well, not to the same level, it's not a nervous laugh, but i tend to smile when the situation gets weird and when i don t know what to say i just go:mmmm, ok, nmmm etc.... Weird ways mirroring is working!

I relate to this woman's excited, kinda needy desperation for reassurance, and her nervousness. It would be very difficult to be able to relax and communicate in that situation. She was very sweet and I hope she was able to quit her job after that hahahaha. I hope she quit a lot of things!

Beautiful you, Teal Swan!! I wonder, how can I be aware of this "hidden manipulation" which someone does to me... They want me to move to their place (for my best, ofcourse) but I'm not sure...my intuition tells me that 'Thats Not What I Want!' but when speaking with them, they always manage to convince me...(almost...) And tell me that "its much more secure to live there when you get old...&; the health system there is much better,,, and:"You're not so young, anymore..." And i feel I'm being manipulated, though they do it because they love me and want my best, ofcourse. But it makes me feel that the world is like a prison! Thanks so much for your videos, Beautiful Teal Swan ❤🙏🎼🎵😍

Thinking that last statement she said about wanting to change to meet their ideals should be the most important thing to remember. She is willing, more than willing to change herself for others. Which as Teal emphasized isn’t inherently a negative, as it’s subconsciously taking others into yourself…however is it done compulsively and consciously?
