What I've learned from this video is that you really need to be brave enough to disassemble these figures and hopefully you will be able to reassemble them to how you got them from the factory. 🤣I always worry that i will ruin these figures that sometimes aren't easy to repurchase them. I have heard from some other customizers that they don't always disassemble their figures and that sometimes you can just paint directly on them as they are... I guess that there are some figures that you can get into the areas that you want to paint without having to disassemble them. Anyway thanks as always for sharing your video with us here on KZbin, your willingness to share your techniques with us is greatly appreciated by me and I'm guessing many others. 👍👍👍

I had several requests for an updated detailed video, I hope it covers the request. True some figure don’t require disassemble but require a visual demo to see it proven… more to come later…. Thanks again for watching

Yes, currently using dye when possible…. In this video I wasn’t knowledgeable enough to use or share but now i can…. Yet i still disassemble a figure when needed… but if i can pant directly on the surface without disassembly then yes, its the way to go… Each figure is its own project and the method or technique may differ according to the figure or desired look. Thanks for watching

Do you have a reassembly video? I took my batfleck apart and can not get it back together. Was using boiling water to soften the parts. Paints coming off, bloods getting all over the place, its turning into a nightmare

Oooh no! I dont have a reassemble video….i dont have the figure… it was a commission piece… When reassembling only heat the receiving piece not the peg it’s self… Send me some images or video to help you out….. Photobella@mac.com

Great vid, thanks for sharing. I have a question for you: Did you have any issues getting the thighs reattached to the hips? I have a Deathstroke that I've done some work with and one of his legs now falls off any time i try to move it, no matter how much I've heated and tried to close it up. I was really hoping you would show the reassembly but it was skipped right over, lol
@InkDropCustoms2 жыл бұрын
The video just focused on dissembling I’ll have on reassemble… I have shown it before but people ask repeatedly to be shown again Yes , many of these figures are a pain to reattach the hips… Reheat and closing the clip is the best way… cooking it immediately with cold water then setting into place… you can also try removing the Clío the hinge goes on to…. Set that in the hinge then set on to the pin … unfortunately some of the plastic just requires a replacement piece, robbing from another figure

@@InkDropCustoms Thanks for answering, much appreciated! I just found your content, so I'll have to look through your other videos for reassembly. I've tried resetting it, but I haven't tried "quick cooling" it, so I'll give that a shot later. I really wish they'd just use a damn ball joint on those hips, lol

Can the boots pry off the calves? Planning to shorten Green Arrow down a bit, but am hoping for a solution without cutting the boots itself.

Any way you could try to shorten up a mcfarlane ? Like the best way to go about it ?
@InkDropCustoms2 жыл бұрын
It’s tricky…. What works on one figure will not work on another On some figures you can drill the foot peg deeper into the leg On others it’s best to switch the hip joint entirely but finding the legs that clip on is another factor. There are so many variables that come into play.. I don’t have a simple solution yet Thanks for watching

Amazing video! question though, is it possible to do one for mcfarlane doom figure? Currently I tried to a classic version of Doom figure where is ankle ball joint cannot twist. Mine is not align properly straight. I tried your method by using the hair dryer and it still not able to take out the ball joint of that ankle or adjust it.... Any tips or thoughts?
@InkDropCustoms Жыл бұрын
It may be fused with the other plastic… you may just have to drill and tap then replace with out another peg… I always keep a donor figure… Let me know what figure base you are using… I’ll mail you a peg or matching pegs… let me know
@lilazeonboa Жыл бұрын
@@InkDropCustoms thanks for the response. I have the classic doom guy mcfarlane. though, those are hard to find and expensive. On you video, does that figure was able to twist the ball joint of the angles? Not the foot itself. I have the pictures of my defect figure and been trying to do some research of fixing it.
