took my mouse apart today after using it for 6 years. I retired it and bought a different razer mouse, however I still can't use this new one to play my games with. So I took apart my mouse following your video. Turns out it can get worn out, mine had a little dimple in it causing the click to sound but not actually click. Tiny little groove in the plastic has now been filled with super glue, will update with the results. Im happy with this mouse as it is, its 6 years old. But if I can repair it with super glue im gonna be chuffed.

Thanks for this video! It made opening the Naga very easy. My roommate's pressure applicator (the little plastic pylon that makes contact with the button actuator) was not broken, but had worn a half-circle into the plastic the shape of the harder plastic button it was pressing down on. I cut a piece of solder wire (for softness) to the width of the button, dabbed it with super glue, and then stuck the piece of wire lengthwise into the divot. I then left it a few moments and dabbed it with a tiny bit of super glue to cover the top. After drying, this took it from a ~1mm concave surface to about 1/10th of a mm convex. The button is still audibly softer than the right click, due to extent of use, but works like a charm again!

Thanks very much for this video. My Razer model is a bit different. It has started losing the click when I'm moving the mouse, so I started shopping for a new one. I looked at taking it apart, to see if maybe there saw some accumulation of dust or something that was causing a problem, but concluded it's impossible to take apart. On a whim, I did a Google search, found your video, and am now emboldened to at least try to see if it can be fixed.

Had to solve a single-click-double-click issue with my Razer Naga and looked it up. Realized I had seen this, back in 2013, yet had forgotten where the screws were. Then started to wonder why I had to fix it the last time... then I popped the lid and saw an onslaught of isolation tape on all the wires... riiight, a fault in my mouse cable had me shorten it greatly and solder every wire back. Thanks for the rescue! (twice now, it would seem)

Thanks for showing how it's supposed to be done! While I didn't bereak mine, my LeftClicl was acting weirdly, sometimes loosing a hold click, only to re-click, or getting doubleclicks at times. It turned out, that some dirt accumulated, an probably shortened the Clicking, with the Mouse now cleaned, I'm testing it's Behaviour to find out whther or not it's still acting weird, and possibly needs a replacement. I'm currently thinking about the Corsair Scimiter Pro as a possible Replacement, and already tried the Titanwolf Gaming Mouse System (that enables Button-Replacement/Configuration, but unfortunately only catches 1 Button-Input at a Time, making it unfit for a lot of Games, for example in Diablo3: Mouse as usual, kills on the NumPad of the Titanwolf, whenever I fire up a Skill, I have to repress the Mousebutton for Movement)

I was looking for the snapped bit, after 15 minutes of searching no bits, I realized there was a groove that had worn into the left mouse button stick in the shape of the little white mouse button, that little problem was causing my left mouse not to work, I filled in the groove with some super glue, left to harden, done.

A quick question (I thrown away 4 slightly expensive mouses so far), I have the same problem from time to time, I click but the left mouse button doesn't work even though the clicking sound can be heard. Or I click and it actually makes a double or multiple clicks, when I put the mouse pointer over a folder or a file and I press the LMB once it actually opens that folder or file. My question is, when I have LMB issues is it because something is broken and I could glue it back? What about the double clicking issue?

I have a strange problem. There is a click on the mouse, but it's not working. After I opened it, meddled with it, and closed up again; it works if I press it extra harder. The normal click remains but it doesn't work. After the initial click I have to apply further force for it to register. Is this the same problem? (It works fine when I press the white tiny part after I opened the mouse.)
@Spice
@Spice 10 жыл бұрын
Your problem may be different. On mine, it does something similar, but if i press too hard, the button spazzes out and multi-clicks. The way you fix that is by buying a new switch for it (you can check and see if your local Radio Shack still carries them). What you want is called a "three terminal microswitch," preferably one with all the pins facing down. 13mm x 5mm x 6mm, or something really close to that.

Loctite and Zapagap are also great brands of superglue. Give them a shot, I used that to fix my mouse when it broke.
@matdenn2142
@matdenn2142 8 жыл бұрын
You better use epoxy than that kind of glue because its brittle and breaks off easily, while epoxy is not. You can also solder plastic even as tiny as that. There is a way to solder plastic which can be as good as the original, don't use soldering iron or any type of equipment which can melt the plastic very hot that it becomes brittle.

I hate it how BOTH my nagas ended up like this! And razer markets those with uber life expectancy (especially the Hex). .. BS, my hex's left click died on me after barely 2 years. Sooner than my Naga (the same modell as in your vid), and I was even more careful with my Hex too. ...The thing is that no other manufacturer (to my knowledge) makes mice with this many buttons, of which I am so soooo fond of. :(

2 things then you put the screws back on: Don't fold the teflon tape like that, the dents will stay there. And more importantly, when you start screwing, push the top and the bottom pieces together with one hand while you screw with the other.

I guess you would need to find some how to replicate the piece that is broke off and missing. What about something like an old debit/credit type card or something a little thicker like the plastic window from a CD jewel case. For the jewel case idea you would need a rotary tool though. Just fabricate it somehow...

Avoid Razer Naga (2014) like a plague. First one had the left click, the actual plastic that you touch with your finger... just snapped off within two weeks. Second one lasted two months, same problem. The whole cover that your palm touches is one piece and the edges at the very front, near where the cord is connected, get caught into things and are poor quality and/or bad design. Can't imagine these lasting a year.

Been having this problem A LOT with Razer Nagas. Bought 5 mice in the last 5 years or so, and all of them either had left or right mouse button problems of some kind (Usually it just brakes) within just a few months. If you ask me, Razer is an expensive but shitty product with too much put in there, so it just breaks. It can't handle simple use. Had a friend who had the exact same problem as me. Then I though: "Razer is shit - Let's try a Logitech MMORPG Mouse!", and it broke just as quickly, too.... Double clicking problems... Then last time I thought: "Hey, maybe it's because I'm buying the cheaper Razer Naga, that it keeps breaking - Let's try the Razer Naga Epic Chroma!" (Which costs twice that of an ordinary Razer Naga I might add) And guess what? The mouse sensor was shit there - The mouse would literally fly all over the screen when I wasn't even touching it - Right off fucking day 1. Like, seriously? I just can't seem to catch a break
