Is there a CMOS battery present in HP-630 ? And is it a CR2032 type or an internal non-replaceable one that takes its charge from the main battery to maintain bios date etc.

Yes. There is.

@@wormwood6424 > Wow, YES THERE IS ! YES there is what ? Did you read my entire question ? Is it CR2032 or a NON REPLACEABLE RECHARGE (means it gets recharged from the main battery) type ?

@@mgr5550 lol...well i guess if there is a cmos battery it must be replaceable...?
@mgr55505 жыл бұрын
@@wormwood6424 Just "yes, there is" what does that mean ? Yes there is a replaceable one or yes there is a non replaceable one ? Wait don't answer that one, lest i want to shoot myself in the head if you answer again as YES.

Just cleaned the fan an changed the paste but for some reason it keeps overheating just as fast as before...

+rdgd95 did you clean that fins on heatsink where air blows? Maybe your heatpipe was damaged and gas went out and now it wont work properly.
@rdgdrdgdd7 жыл бұрын
i cleaned it properly, the air flows properly i can feel it near the fan but its only slightly warm

leave it to HP to turn what should be a 5 step process into 47 fucking steps. What an annoying repair. Saved my laptop though. The paste inside was more sand than paste. Went from 10 degrees OVER the threshold to 18 c UNDER. GPU from 90 FREAKING DEGREES to 55! Talk about a toaster oven.

I feel you man. Worked in repair shop while student and some laptops are of such bad and over engineerd design it is pain to remove everything and put it together. HP in the lead.

air compressor is the best solution for cleaning dust, no need for disassemble, just point and blow

Forgot one big thing. Static mat and wrist strap.
@electronicsrepairs21667 жыл бұрын
+rodgerwilco1 well yes but also depends where you work. Never had static problems in that room while I lived there so I rarely would use that. But yep it would be advisable to use it whenever working with stuff like this.
