@@RandomHacks hey man! Could you please make a tutorial about how to fix the backlight of an LG TV? I would really appreciate it, I keep searchingfor tutorials online and I can't seem to find any? Thank you❤❤❤

GG, my guy! I noticed the holes and figured they'd be used for disengaging the clips, but didn't realize how much force was needed until watching your video. Thank you for uploading! 🙏 Liked and subscribed😎👍

Thanks for your video. I am thinking to remove back panel on my tv and to clean the screen layers, because it had broken backlight, then repair man replaced it but now I have dark spots on white background. Repair man says this normal, but I don't remember it was like this when tv was new, so thinking of cleaning screen layers. Thanks
@RandomHacks24 күн бұрын
Be very careful cleaning the plastic layers, you can only clean them with a dry soft towel, do not use water or any other liquid or they will become much worse, the only layer you can clean with water is the thicker acrylic sheet which is usually the one that is closest to the LEDs. Since you say there are dark spots it is possible that your repair technician just bypassed the non working LEDs instead of replacing them with new ones (or even better, replacing the entire LED strips) so there is no light on those spots, if this is the case I recommend choosing another repair shop next time.

@RandomHacks thanks for advice. I don't know what he replaced, he said it was led's, he charged me 70 eur and give 1 year guarantee. Maybe I will try to find some other repair man who is willing to see what is going on here. 👍

Hi, thank you for your comment, I don't think I ever repaired an LG branded vacuum cleaner before so I'm not sure how it would open, sorry. Maybe you can try searching for the model number and see if you can find disassembling instructions. If you want you can let me know the model number and I can try looking it up for you.

A found a "generic" TV that was using a similar method, with clips only along the bottom edge. Not quite the same clips, but very similar plastic shroud design on the bottom half of the unit. Using your method I was able to remove the shroud with minimal damage. Caution is advised, of course, as each TV will be different

This is a bit of a random and impromptu video and I realize it's probably not useful for most of my subscribers but I'm sure there are a lot of people out there trying to figure out how to open this stupid TV 😅 If you do a lot of TV repairs I listed some tools in the description that make repairs much easier, safer and faster, these are tools that I can recommend as I use them myself on a daily basis.

My lg tv doesn’t have the two wee holes! Any ideas? 😩

Hi, most TVs are pretty easy to open and don't require the method I show in the video, just put something soft on a flat surface like a table, lay the TV with the sceen facing the table, remove all the screws, and then try to lift the back cover, if it offers resistance double check if all the screws are out and if they are you can use something like a thin spatula to try to pry it open. Sometimes you can also find the service manual on the internet which usually shows how it is supposed to be open, just search for "model number service manual". Good luck! 😉

I saw the clips but it's hanging on the wall and I felt like if I use too much force I'm going to break it. So I'm just leaving the pencils in there I guess

This is a great video but also illustrated to me of )why_ I´m not even going to attempt this! 1 - I´d probably break it by the look of the trickery needed to remove the panel 2 - Getting the back-panel back ON is likely to be just as difficult So, 3 - Will call the experts and pay to get the horizontal-line issue fixed by them by removing/replacing the T-connector ribbons 😂
