I have used it a few times at my shop, I keep getting confused on step... 4 of dismount, and step 2 of mount. For the life of me i cant seem to remember.

I keep breaking tpms sensors on this machine. Advice?

If it is the type of TPMS sensors you can loosen the nut on and drop the sensor inside the tire before you dismount, then just push the bead down and install it after mounting the tire. But if you place the head in the correct spot on dismount, and then in a different correct spot on mount, you wont break them anymore. I think I explained it in this video but if I did not do a very good job check for one of my other ones, I know I explain it in detail for my students somewhere. PS your situation is common. Keep improving like everyone who is any good has.

There should be a sticker on the machine that will teach you tpms placement when mounting and demounting.

The shop i work at just purchased this machine.... I hate it. I can dismount and mount a tire of a wheel alot faster with the old machines with the manual bead breaker then just having to use the tire iron.

It sure seems like way too many steps, and much longer. I know with the low profiles we have to have newer equipment to mount and dismount and not damage the wheel, but this machine doesn't seem to be making life any easier. Especially for what it costs.

I agree.... the older machines were faster, we use to have races in our shop to see who was the fastest. My boss did a dismount and mount then air up in 17 seconds. But, this Hunter auto34s are able to do ALL rims without damaging the lip of your costume rims. Not to forget the older workers can use it without breaking their backs.

Yeah they're kinda difficult to use. The old shop I used to work at had a plain jane one that was pretty easy to use and I got super proficient with it. However it was always hard airing tires up with it because they were super stiff. At the shop I'm at now we use this style and it's much trickier, I'm still trying to get the hang of it. This is probably the best video explaining how to use this machine and watching out for that tpms

@@bricegraham8256 you'll get the hang of it. When i first made the comment it was only a week after the shop bought this hunter machine. I was just psyching myself out tho. For the most part i managed to stay away from this machine for about 8 months. But around mid October 2 guys got fired one of them was the one who used this machine now it's mine😭. What made it complicated was just not knowing what the buttons did. So the day i was told i was going to use it I told my coworker that's fine but imma bug the shit out of him asking questions throughout the day. If i have any doubt about anything, im going to stop and ask him. That way i know I'm doing it right and wont end up scratching a wheel or breaking a sensor. By the end of the day i had the machine mastered lol. Now i kinda prefer using it the only time i rather use the old style machine is when its like steel wheels. The machine is way more easier to do what where like the more difficult wheels and tires like run flats, reverse mount wheels or low profile wheels or expensive wheels. A tip i just learned last week or heads up i guess, is watch out when doing really thin profile tires. You know how the head has to drop down so t hooks the bead and pulls it over so you could turn it and undoes the first bead? Since the head is pointing straight down, on low low profile tiress the head can puncture thru the sidewall with very little pressure
