I made this Pipe twig swing for a client yesterday. I can say it is nearly impossible to put the last pipe in without unscrewing it on the other end. I was so frustrated. I went to the hardware store and picked up 2 - 3/4” Unions and 2- 3/4” Nipples in the plumbing aisle. I added them to the bottom of the 2- 36” pieces of pipe then added the elbows a 18” pipes to form the bottom. It worked like a charm!!! Use a pipe wrench (or 2) and make sure everything is very tight. I hope the changes I made will help you put this swing frame together with a lot less frustration!😊

What inch galvanized pipes did you use and how many of each? I plan to order them off Amazon but I’m not finding anything longer than 14 inches long! Also do the 45 degree elbows work?

I just made one and bought all the pipes for under $50. $35.92 before taxes. I found the pipes online then went to HD and had them price match them.

I'm an event designer. There's way more than $150 invested into this. I'm sure someone's aunt or best friend would rather be enjoying the wedding day, rather than fussing with this. AND let's discuss liability. If it falls or comes apart with a guest on board......ummmm.... have fun with that. Hire a professional!

I don't think the greenery and extra flowers were $150. My floral hoop (not made from galvanized pipe) was like $300 all together even with the $40 and 40" log holder from Amazon as the base structure. Min also is more for children and young adults.

Brandi B I got one from Amazon, a 40” tubular steel log holder , for less than $50 . My wife decorated it and we use in our photography business, but like Moonrise said, its only for kids and teens.
