The first 5 minutes are the best pull up tutorial I've ever seen! And I've been watching pull up videos for years. It's only now that I realize that many things are left out in other videos or they contain advice for more advanced practitioners without saying so. Thank you very much Jack! You're a true discovery!

Omg, I need to start all over again, I thought I could do 5 pull ups, I’m 64 and I’m sure it’s my arms that pull me up, I do have great arms, need to work on getting some legs can you show me how to do this that doesn’t use an exercise that I could hurt my lower back. So happy to have found you, you give great explanations!

Thanks for mentioning when to breathe and how to grip. This is very much overlooked by most trainers. Looking forward to a basic bench video. Thanks.

Thanks a lot, Jack! Perfect as always. How about using a pull-up machine? Would that also be a good replacement for lat pulldown and start the progression towards the pull-up?

@@thanosave71125 years ago I was 60lb overweight and I could not walk 300 meters. Last week I just broke my PR and did 10 pullups for the first time. I have a 6 pack. And I am 55. Top 3 factors: 1) Startet TRT+. Doing 190mg a week, self medicating. Visiting MD every 6 week for bloodwork, I ignore his “that is bad for you” 2) I got diagnosed with ADD, and I am now medicated. No more overeating, it shaved the last excessive weight of me 3) I eat my 200g of lean animal protein before I can have anything else (meats, eggs, cheese). It makes me so full that it is relatively easy to avoid too many calories in the rest of my diet I do resistance training twice a week, and walk and bike a bit for transportation. Two medications, one eating habit, and my three mottos: When you fall, get uo Death before dishonor Better to die like a man than to live like a zombie
