Well is this it or are we going to have to pull the transmission out again? It has been a while since I started the how to on 4l60e to 4l80e swap in my nbs sierra. This process is the same for those wanting to do a 4l60 to 4l80 in a chevy silverado also. I have shown in the past videos all parts needed to do the swap and the torque specs so in this video we install the transmission for the 3rd and hopefully final time. It is a rebuilt 4l80e from a local shop and so far so good. It is shifting like it is supposed to and the segment swap seems to have done the trick for controlling it. I am so excited to have the transmission swap complete and it actually able to drive down the road.

Just swapped out a 5.3, put a 6.0 and 4l80 e in my 04" Silverado. Trans is in limp mode . Bought a converter wiring harness . Change wires at ecm .not at the trans . Yrannshot message as soon as put in gear

What was the main problem with the transmission deal so the person before just trying to burn you is it look I put a transmission in my sons truck that was 1700 bucks can I do one of my wife that was 3500 so I’m guessing you paid somewhere at what I did or in between for the trans yeah and I understand what you’re going through because believe me I had to take both trans out twice to four times I did it lots of fun

Did you notice any power drop or did the truck feel more sluggish with the 80e I know it has a longer 1st gear but I just wanted to get feedback from someone who has actually done the swap .
