Hi there :) Microcurrent can make Botox wear off faster. It’s relatively insignificant but yes, it might shorten the time of a treated area. Something to consider is avoiding the forehead If that’s where you get Botox and treating only the rest of the face with microcurrent. I treat my forehead and I do get Botox and I’ve not noticed a huge difference in the longevity of my Botox. Food for though. 😊

@ElectrologyNow3 жыл бұрын
These units were invented back in the 1920s. At that time, until the mid-1970s, these units (mostly home units) delivered actual faradic current that caused visible muscle movement. Under pressure, the FDA decided to regulate these devices and allow full-strength faradic current (and sinusoidal) to be used only by physicians and physical therapists. The cosmetic industry complied, and thus was born "micro-current" ... Signaling to the FDA: the emphasis is on the word "MICRO!" This is the same (interrupted-DC) current, but now used at very low sub-clinical levels. I'll eventually do a video on this subject ... and the documented efficacy. (There are, BTW, ways to by-pass the "governor" in the unit if you want to.) Love your video ... Best Wishes, Michael @ "Electrology Now"

@ElectrologyNow3 жыл бұрын
@@janetgoodfellow5283 Best would be to get a battery-powered T.E.N.S. unit. These are powerful and made for Physical Therapy so muscles will actually move. Of course, you can turn down the current as well. These TENS units are also inexpensive. However, I do not believe any units of this type do anything at all ... especially for facial rejuvenation. But, you can try ... these currents are not harmful and there are no FDA warnings. Who knows, it might work for you? I have several drawers full of these little gadgets. (In the past, there was some benefit when used for Polio victims' regaining limb function ... but, a limited benefit as part of a Physical Therapy program.)
@janetgoodfellow52833 жыл бұрын
@@ElectrologyNow Michael I have a TENS unit I have used on my body, sounds like the myolift is basically a wimpy tens unit. What info have you found on the effectiveness of these types of unit-if you don’t mind. I’m rather skeptical if there are of any use
@ElectrologyNow3 жыл бұрын
@@janetgoodfellow5283 YES, Janet ... you are right; these myolift things are "wimpy TENS units." These became popular (for the face) in the 1920s ... and there is, as yet, zero evidence that it does anything. Years ago, I was dealing with the FDA (re, Depilatron). The head of the FDA device department said that, for example, he thought these facial or TENS devices are totally worthless ... although harmless, and thus no action by the FDA. FDA has enough on their hands with products that actually harm people. Furthermore, Dr. Chapple (plastic surgeon I worked with), says wrinkles and facial "sagging" happens in the SKIN ... not the muscles. So, there is nothing to be gained by these units (muscle stimulation) even if they worked ... and also, those stupid "mouth exercise devices" are equally worthless. Frankly, in my opinion, "running" any electrical current through the face (micro-current or DC) is a hoax. Now, certain products (Retinol) does seem to remodel the collagen layer, albeit slightly. Super results? Well, it's gotta be a facelift: removing sagging skin. (BUT NOT the "thread lift').

I saw your information sheet about what treatments work well with others and which ones don't play well together. Currently, I have been using the Time Master Pro (low-frequency ultrasound - LFU) twice weekly (per their recs). Today purchased the Nebulyft RF device for skin tightening, and today I just performed my first Myolift MC treatment with the gloves (as noted in this video). The Myolift booklet says to only do MC twice per week, but how often can I do the Nebulyft RF? How do I layer these treatments? RF, LFU, MC - some on the same day, others not? Hi Penny,Ive been watching your videos and have a question. I'm looking to purchase the Myolift mini and the Dr. Pen. Can't afford both at once, which do you recommend I get first and if it's the Dr. Pen, which one?

I love the Myolift....I learned about it through you channel and started using it May 12th and have noticed a lot of improvement! One thing that I noticed this week is that my left eye is more lifted than my right, would you recommend working on the other side more to see if I can get those muscles to life?

Thanks for this video! I really appreciate all your great information ;) Do think its ok to use gloves in Erase mode only for facial/neck massage more then 2 times a week? (instructions say to use myolift only 2 times a week) Thanks!

Hi Penny, thank you for this video. I am following your other video on the protocol on the Facebook page. I saved it and watch it every time I use my Myolift mini. I am wondering, can you use Microcurrent device on the decoleage? Thank you 😊
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE4 жыл бұрын
You definitely can use microcurrent on the décolleté! Great for relaxing and also for ATP production 💜

Thank you Penny for your reply. On the décolletage, are the movements up or/ and sideways? And also, is the erase mode have effect on the production of ATP? ❤️

I also recently got a myolift mini and have searched for various online tutorials, handbooks, etc. This may help you -- comfortel.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/5465-MicroCurrent-Facial-System-Comfortel-Owners-Manual.pdf The thing I'd think carefully about as you read this manual is whether you want to be using erase mode or educate -- whether the muscles are overly constricted, etc. The other thing I've recently discovered is working on my fascia - myofascial release throughout my body - but I'm working on some aging whole body stuff. I'm saving Penny's video, too!

Hi Penny. Why is it bad to feel your muscles twitch? I have a Truth Treatments NRGY device and even on low levels, my facial muscles visibly move quite a bit.

Could you do a video on what machines for anti aging. I have a dr pen.Just ordered a myolift, Plasma pen, Nira. I was thinking of a radio Frequency machine but I’m wondering is that too many machines are they overlapping I know there’s videos on all of this but going back-and-forth and trying to figure it out is a little difficult sometimes it would be nice for everything to be in one video if it all possible

Thanks for this video! Can you do a video on microcurrent vs. EMS?? I know they are different... but in terms of using them, which one is for what?? It appears they are both exercising our face (microcurrent more on dermis of skin, and EMS is more for muscles?.... and microcurrent generates ATP while EMS uses it to make muscles work???) I am so confused because these devices (myolift/nuface vs pure lift) all claim they contour, lift and reduce wrinkles.... and they all appear to work as they claim when looking through comments from purchasers... I am trying very hard to figure out what's best for me (trying to reduce the hollow part under my eyes)... I did some research and it seems like EMS is better for contouring on jawline and microcurrent for eyes and forehead??? Do I need both???? HELP!!

Nancy here. The $10 gloves on ebay work just as well as the ones on the Myolift website.

Hi Penny. Thanks for your Video. I have just used my Myolift with the gloves and I don't see any difference. Is that normal? The strange thing was when I was not touching my face I still had conductivity!!! So how do I know the device was working ok and it isn't faulty as I couldn't feel anything on my skin either . Thanks
