Hi guys! When I reached 1000 Kilometers, I brought my tuktuk to a shop for checkup but the only thing they performed was change the engine oil and oil filter. Other than that there was no other extra job performed on my tuktuk. But Watching this video gave me a wide ideas on how to maintain a good performance of the engine. Thank you .

Been looking for tips on how to prop the Bajaj RE 4s on a lift securely. This is a great help. Our Bajaj service centers here in my country (Ph) doesn't have lifts yet, they only have jack stands and it's really difficult with such limited clearance. Looking forward to some more tips on tuning carburetors on the RE (my RE's carb type), as well as bleeding brakes and greasing. You guys are very thorough with your tips. Super video! Really helped a lot. The Bajaj dealership in my country (Ghana) have never changed the differential oil and the secondary oil filter (not even cleaning them) in my tuk tuks. They literally wait for things to break down before they service or replace parts. Since they don't do a good job and even use good oil, I've been servicing it myself for the past 10 months at home and this video has surely helped! Just an observation: just like the manual spark sometimes gets jammed underneath and needs some wd-40, the speedo cable also gets rusted overtime and breaks. What I do is I take them out every 5k kilometers and grease them to prevent them from rusting and further breaking. Additionally, because of some rough terrain over here, the pivot pin has to be changed every 8k kilometers to prevent the front steering rod from bending. Have you faced any similar issues? Totally looking forward to more tutorials like the back and front break servicing/replacement, propeller greasing and rubber replacement, front and back axle replacements, carburetor servicing among other repairs! Thank you once again!

Bought a new Bajaj RE. Did the first oil change at 500kms. Also drained the gear box and was surprised to see the oil just full of metal. So bad, the color of the oil had a silver hue. Never seen so much ever!

Hai sir am having Bajaj RE 445 diesel foot operated clutch model very nice and very super performance but don’t have any spares on showroom every spare should be ordered and come then only fixing that vehicle sir so please old model spares also sir that is my problem so informing the Bajaj auto manufactures sir thank you sir your videos are very good and understanding that’s problem sir thank you sir

I question the use of engine oil in the gear box...Don’t feel there is enough protection versus 70/90 gear oil. All these gear boxes whine Differential oil

Hi Ken. The engine has a wet clutch and therefore shares the engine oil with the gear box. We recommend a motorcycle oil 10W40 in the U.K. Motorcycle oil has an additive especially for wet clutches to prolong the life of the clutch.

Hi Clive - We would always recommend changing the oil filter when changing the oil. Spark plugs often last much longer - a visual check should help you to decide when to change the sparks. Oil service required at 1000, 5000, 10000, 15000 and every 10000 thereafter

Question is it normal to have a clacking sounds when i change gear? Mine it good till the 2nd gear when i shift to 3rd gear i have clacking sound,4th gear is also good is there any more adjustment in the engine part were the clutch cable end..

A clicking or clacking sound when changing gear is quite normal. If you’ve tightened the clutch cable fully, it may be you need a complete new cable if struggling to change gears. The most important thing is to keep the oil fresh and change regularly.
