I’ve had self induced ‘Arc-eye’ many times over the years messing about with my old cars. Let me tell you, it is really painful. From my experience, unless the company enforced health & safety, workers will do what they want. Although, that lad with the paint sprayer! Loved the video.

Lots of workplace hazards that don't seem to be addressed. Sandals instead of work-boots. Not many welders with proper eye protection. No mask for the spray painter. Don't get me wrong, it appears to be a very efficient operation, but the workers face quite a high chance of injury due to lack of safety precautions.

I think a lot of this kind of video are misleading us. There were obviously at least two different factories here. The first one, making the chassis was the typical backstreet "Let's all laugh at the flip-flops" one. The final assembly plant was obviiously a more modern setup. Although I did notice one guy there working in bare feet! And I'm not entirely convinced the chassis we saw being made in the first factory were the same ones being used in the final one.

Great work place coordinations and excellent team work. I Thank Allah that those people have jobs so they could feed their families.. Well organized and fined tuned assembly line operation. Less talk and more job done work place with good work ethics! Although not everyone was using eye protections during welding jobs but most of the welding crews did protect their eyes with the company's provided welding sheilds to protect their eyes. Awesome job from start to finish and a great Taiz Rafartar Chinchy/Tuktuk/Auto Rickshaw! Very impressive indeed. Keep up the good work!👍

Sure, but all that adds to the cost and affordability in the low income countries where these vehicles and factory jobs are god-sent. They have improved public transportation and living standards in places where alternative is the horrible manual rickshaw.

I like these vehicles. They are very simple and easy to maintain. Tricycles are the best kind of vehicles for low speed.
