Thank you Marly. I actually had to go back and watch your video with Mom to remember how to purl. I was wrapping yarn different. This knitting stuff is challenging but fun. You'll have to do a gauge video for crochet. Looking forward to this. 🐻

Great explanation Marly. I swatched last week and discovered I needed to go up 2 sizes. However, I'm not used to or comfortable with the large (15) needles. I might just go to a 13, a middle compromise and a little more manageable for me.

Yes, I think that is a good idea. size 15 just sounds too big. Especially once you do the YO's and such. Technically I should go up a needle size but I don't like the way my stitches look at that size so I am sticking to where I am. Side Note: part of the delight of designing is that I don't have to match anybody else's gauge :) It's always MINE! lol.

thanks! you've set my mind at ease! Going to stick with my size 11 and have the right count in rows and be a little short on the width! Like you said, it's not a sweater!! Looking forward to getting started.

I don't know how to knit. I was wondering if you will be putting this pattern out in crochet as well?

I was curious, when I do a Guage swatch I usually get either the row matched or the sticches right. I never seem to get it exactly, so I was wondering which is more important row gauge or stitch gauge?

Marly you did a good job in explaining how to do the gauge but I think that when you make your swatch there is a way to do the gauge in the round am I right on this ?
@MarlyBird6 жыл бұрын
yes, if you want gauge in the round you need to either knit in the round or float the yarn behind the fabric and knit as if you are knitting in the round. Hard to explain in writing. I will try to get a video out showing how to do it.
