so what is doing the choking in the standard north south choke. Your own shoulder? I keep clicking on north south chokes and no one seems to adequately address exactly what's happening.

In this one you trap the arm but in most of them I see the arm isn't even trapped

When U are finishing him by moving closer to his head, what do you do if he follows you by shuffling around?

He cant follow u if u're limiting his head movement (notice how the bottom guy cannot turn his head because the top guy's lat and wole body... Without turning the head, his body is also unable to move).
