This is what I've learned about tattooing so far. Some people say do it this way, some people say do it that way. Each individual person is going to have a unique style. One may specialize in realism. One may specialize in traditional. One may be pretty decent at all styles. Some may prefer to "ride the tube" or "float the needle". Some may use less or more voltage. Some may use less or more needle depth. You do what is achievable and works for you and your style and set-up. Take into consideration other techniques and try them and see if it works for you. Practice what works for you and what doesn't. Stick to the basics: clean\sanitary work area, patience, straight and steady lines, good shading.

Just wanted to say thank you. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. I think this was a really great design to show some different techniques. The only thing I would say, is that when you transition from one shade to the next, that you say something like “ and now I’m using my lightest shade”. If that makes any sense. I watch a lot of tattoo tutorials and it seems that the teacher always leaves out what shading he’s using at that time and he may dip from one cup to the next and I’m not sure which one he’s using. Hope this helps and thanks again for another great video.!!

9:50 what do you mean by drops, drops of paint in the water? Could you specify in % since the drops would vary in relation of the cup size used. Could i ask for an advice on how to pack black with a mag cos im practicing on my thigh but i cant color with a mag, basically im already bleeding to much with 8+ volts and not packing the amount of color i want, the liners work fine. Also the mag is never uniform (some needles have more ink than others) for now i used only flat mags, never curved
@eksrevolt2 жыл бұрын
I believe distilled water, ink mixing solution, or shading solution
@Miatasmr Жыл бұрын
Theres a lot to go i to that, one u should definitely lower the voltage down, when shading expect to go over a lot and if ur using a 4.0 stroke with a high voltage itll def cause more trauma then u want. As for the needles, are you using a rotary? Are the cartridges youre using nice? Some are utter garbage so make shre ur using quality supplies.

Question, so I tattoo myself the other day and my lines looked great and saturated nice and dark lines, when I wiped it down with my green soap most of my color in my lines disappeared, the next day the lines looked better but not as dark as it should be. I’m using a 9RL with an inkjecta X1 at about 8V , thx any suggestions would be appreciated.
