I love tattooing myself. Teaches me how to focus while having other things going on. Learning how to ignore the pain so I can give myself the best possible outcome.

Bro, I have the entire cast of Family Guy across the top of both legs. I started with one character and built up. Now I have an underwater scene on both legs. And have worked down to my feet. I’m out of real estate. I’ve tattooed myself with the use of mirrors and cameras, and even learned to tattoo ambidextrously. I’m not an artist, but I can draw if I have an image. It’s very rewarding and I love it when people come up and compliment my work. The look on their face is priceless when they ask where I got my work done and I say, “me.” I’ve done both arms, both legs, and now it’s just a matter of doing fill in, touch up, and putting it all together. Maybe some day I’ll take on some clients.

What a cool dude! Peace and love be with you, most tattoo artists are heavily against tattooing at home as a hobby. There is not a single ounce of judgement from you. Super rad! I tattooed a little executioner on my thigh last night and I am really happy with it. I packed color good and had clean shading and line work. It didn’t hurt that bad most of the time but there were times when I was screaming on the inside. I also feel like it has helped me a lot with understanding what different things feel like. Not the smartest decision as a 14 year old but it is definitely going to help me in the future.

You honestly still should have practised on fake skin. That is a rookie mistake as people will all say-BUT-glad it went well. THIS time. Please don't just jump straight in or that is when you are going to make a serious mistake and if you weren't aware; tattoos are permanent my dude, -you can't just grab an eraser and remove the screw ups 😂 Mistakes will cost you. Either in a bruised ego when you have to explain to your mates wtf you did to yourself or in $$$£££ to correct them! Anyway, glad it went well. Best of luck in the future.

Did my first tattoo on my left forearm. Slightly difficult on the side but I’m fairly happy with it! I’ve been challenging myself and this tattoo is mainly linework with minor shading. I found a way to position my arm while also stretching it with the hand I was tattooing with. Again mildly challenging and uncomfortable, but overall happy with the result. This channel has been my go to on my tattooing journey and can say that I’ve learned a lot!

I straight up just went straight for practicing on my self, my right leg is gonna be a doodle sleeve. I felt the bet way to learn would to be just stick the middle into myself. I practice good sterile work ethic, I prep my workspace and self as if I were tattooing professionally in store. I'm not a tattoo artist. But it's better to remain in practice than out of it.

Dip your needle in a cup of distilled water and then touch the needle to a clean paper towel to get the water out. Repeat that until the ink chamber is clear. Or just use a different needle. The black and colored ink won't mix once it's in your skin. Black covers everything.

thank you for such an informative video! i noticed that i happen to have the same machine as you, i was wondering if you could share the voltages you had the machine set to for each step of this process? i attempted my first tattoo on myself since getting this machine recently and i had to double line the whole thing because the end result was a bit scratchy.
