For the past 40+ years, every 6-8 weeks, I've relax my 3A/B hair (at home) and I can tell you that my hair is healthier than some of my friends who went au naturel. I use Affirm Sensitive (roots only) and from start to finish....wash it out within 4-5 minutes of the initial application. And like clock work....I get it trimmed every time I relax it. I have no desire to go natural....it's just to much work (for me).

As a woman with natural hair, previously relaxed, I can say relaxed hair is simply easier to manage. It's just a fact. If she gets a silk press she still will have to comb it on wash day in its natural state. If she doesn't know what she's doing she's gonna be impatiently pulling her hair out with the comb or crying on the shower floor (been there done that lol). It took me years to figure out how to take care of my hair and mine isn't as kinky as hers. I've gone to a relaxer several times out of frustration and I know I'm not the only one so y'all need to stop being hypocritical and judgmental.

Her hair is gorgeous! She looks so happy. As a lifelong natural, I'm glad she found something that works for HER! I used to be a natural supremacist lol but that was because there were so many women relaxing because they thought their natural curls and kinks were inferior. I've realized that I need to just drink my water and mind my damn business. 🙃 Some of y'all seem thirsty....

Same here sis. I’m natural and may go back to relaxer too but will forever be a natural hair supremacists to ppl who think natural hair is inferior.

I'm a father whose about to apply this to my 11yr old daughter. Her first texturizer. Keep calm I do have experience doing chemical work in hair. I worked as an assistant at my late cousins salon during the 90s.

Idk how I came across this video but that's a sign from God that I need to go back to relaxer. It's hard for me to manage and keep straight being natural. I did learn some tips to help because I think my hair before was overprocessed. My ends would always be dry and puffy after the relaxer weeks later. It's hard for me to keep my natural hair straight and grays laying down so I might as well go back to relaxer. At least I can spread it out now since I've been natural for a few years now. That may help me manage my hair better because puffy hair and/or frequent braids (when cost is high) ain't it. Lol plus all these products I got for my hair adds up. I saved this video and subscribed. Thanks for the tips!!

Same here. I haven’t had a relaxer in awhile and I feel like I be abusing my hair. I see myself going back soon and probably just stretching them out for longer because now I know how to handle my hair better

Her hair is lovely. Great job! Sometimes, I wish I had a perm. But, then I remember the burning and the scabs. Perming was always a painful process for me. Have to stay natural.

Yes. I only leave the relaxer in my daughter’s hair a few minutes. Her hair is a lot softer and manageable and she still has her curls. I use relaxer and not texturizer, again i only leave the relaxer in about 3 minutes. I keep hair very healthy and moisturized.

Lady J what’s different between relaxer and texturizer,and which one is good for natural hair Afro?
@bluebird16945 жыл бұрын
@@bempomaa489 same chemicals but a texturizer is Very mild and won't straighten the hair as much as a relaxer.

Wow thank you so much for that info bcuz I use to do that, get it bone straight and it was thin, no body, just dead hair like you said. Now I know better bcuz I love my layer cuts and body. And that’s the key to health relaxed hair not over processing it
