Hey man, any video/tips on how to use the MOD within the touchstrip? It simply does not affect the selected sound... The other 3 (pitch, perform and notes) just work great. Kudos

@@producedbymirakle hey thank you so much!🙏🏾 I believe only certain parameters like pitch shift and performance EFX can utilize the touch strip to program automation. Thats a really good question though m, I’ve never really tried any other functions outside of those two.

@@creativedwill Yeah I still love automation, but for instance filter cutoff with arturia’s minifilter would be handier to me with the touch strip, but never got it done. I still do automation with my knobs or keyboard sliders, but I was just wondering. Thanks anyway man!

I personally love using clips. Clips are more versatile and gives you way more flexibility. Honestly I think they just need to get rid of patterns all together. I only use patterns for the basic initial arrangement and then I always convert them to clips to do more of the drop outs and transitions/ automations.

Hey thank you for commenting!🙏🏾 yea the automation features are way better in other DAWs. The Rack setup in this video I have the Universal Audio La-610 Pre amp/ channel strip, the Apollo twin duo audio interface, Motu 828 mk3 hybrid, and the Presonus Monitor station V2.

Always fun and insightful watching you maschine tips. I have to admit there are probably 3 things that give me daw envy when watching people work in ableton or whatever it is: 1. MPC has that easy time stretch/pitch like serato (that one hurts) 2. Not having to open up a plug-in to make quick EQ changes on a sound, like taking the low frequencies out of the kick and 3. How seamless editing or drawing in automation is… I appreciate maschine for catering towards performance over mouse clicking, and it’s why I love it so much. But damn, it’s nearly impossible to make that automation perfect huh lol

If they updated just a few features to make it more in line with MPC is doing and give us a better DAW then it would be probably the best combo on the market. Great stuff bro! So this is automating with perform fx but.. can you automate for example TUNE(tempo)? I've seen this dude on native instruments youtube channel moving the pitch of his hi hats up and down but idk if you can automate that!

Hey thank you for commenting! 🙏🏾 I haven’t figured out how to automate the Tempo in the Maschine yet. You can automate the pitch or Tune in the Maschine though. For the the tune you have to go to the Pitch/ Envelope tab and select tune and While your recording move the putter most ring on the Tune knob to automate it. You can use the Pitch button on top of the touch strip to automate pitch

Hi, thanks for the video. Quick question, say you're working with Maschine software as a plugin in Logic Pro X. Once you've drawn in your automation how do you take that and drag it to your logic track? It's easy to drag your midi pattern to logic, but the automation information doesn't go with it :( Any thoughts?

You have to render it to an audio file inside maschine to print the automation.

Hi Dwill, so you don't hit the record button first, just the play button, and then Maschine records it into your song?

I typically hit shift and record in so I can get a count in. But I don’t think you need to have record enabled to draw automation in. Just select the automation button and Maschine will automatically record that automation. Thank you for commenting🙏🏾!!!
